so what kung ang offer ng ABS CBN is full exposure sa next election, still needs to honor his contract with Solar. marami naman siyang pera buy out niya yun contract niya then lipat siya kung saan niya gusto.

akala siguro niya autograph signing yun contract signing...

with his stupidity, baka hinde na mapalabas dito yun fight niya with Hatton,

    May warning na...
Solar warns Pacquiao of 'contract breach'

    abs-cbnNEWS.com | 03/19/2009 10:41 AM

Solar Entertainment Corp. said it will seek legal remedies if its exclusive contract with Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is breached.
Enrique dela Cruz, Jr., legal counsel for Solar Sports, said this in an interview aired on Pacquiao's media partner, GMA-7.
The lawyer for Solar also warned "third parties against tortious interference" with this contract. Dela Cruz specifically named ABS-CBN during the interview as one of the parties "na pinakialaman niya yung isang valid contract."
As of posting, Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corp. Communications, said the company will later be issuing a statement in response to Solar's threat to sue ABS-CBN.
Pacquiao announced his decision to give ABS-CBN exclusive coverage of his fights in a statement aired Wednesday over at "TV Patrol World."
“Pagkatapos kong pag-isipan, mabuti nilapitan ko ang ABS-CBN at nagpagpasyahan ko pong makipag-partner muli sa kanila,” said Pacquiao.
“Sarili ko itong desisyon,” he added. “Sa ABS-CBN mapapanood nyo ang laban ko kay Ricky Hatton at iba ko pang laban.”
Solar, however, insists that its contract with Pacquiao’s MP Productions is still in effect.
    'Delayed payments'
In a text message to ANC, Solar said that Pacquiao “granted to Solar Entertainment the exclusive rights to the audio-visual presentation of all bouts of Manny Pacquiao from 07 May 2007 to 06 May 2011.”
Solar added that “Manny Pacquiao’s attempt to rescind the License Agreement without any factual or legal basis is ill-advised.”
It also warned third parties against interfering with their agreement with Pacquiao, which was dated May 7, 2007.
"Solar shall avail of all its legal remedies to the fullest extent against any undue breach of and/or tortious interference with the Licence Agreement," the Solar statement concluded.
Meanwhile, according to a report on GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit,” Solar said that it has yet to talk to Pacquiao about his decision.
It was also revealed in the report that Pacquiao has sent Solar a letter stating, "This is to inform you of the decision of the undersigned to rescind the subject contract, effective immediately. Despite repeated demands, SOLAR has failed to fulfill its obligation to pay the undersigned the stipulated fees for the subject rights.”
Pacquiao’s letter to Solar also noted that "the partial payment belatedly made yesterday is proof of the undue delay by SOLAR in the performance of its obligation.”

GMA Network disappointed over Pacquiao’s decision to ditch Solar
    03/19/2009 | 05:18 PM

MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network said in a statement Thursday that “it is very disappointed with the reported decision of Manny Pacquiao to transfer from Solar Sports to ABS-CBN the rights to broadcast his fight with Ricky Hatton on May 2, 2009 and his other fights."

The network also clarified that the existing contract for the airing of Pacquiao’s fights in the Philippines is between the boxer and Solar Sports and not between Manny and GMA Network.

It said Solar Sports just enters into blocktime agreements with GMA Network for the airing of Pacquiao’s fights in the country.

GMA Network also cited Beth Celis column in the Philippine Daily Inquirer last March 18, 2009, which revealed, “The network (ABS-CBN) is said to have offered Manny full media support in the next election to ensure victory in the next year’s congressional elections."

GMA Network said it did not offer the same to Pacquiao because the Omnibus Election Code prohibits television networks from doing so. Section 95 of the code states that “no contribution for purposes of partisan political activity shall be made directly or indirectly" by grantees of franchises such as television networks.

It was also reported that Pacquiao favored the other network because of ABS-CBN’s dominance in Sarangani and the international presence of their reporters. GMA Network’s news teams and existing contributors in key areas worldwide adequately cover important events like those of Pacquiao’s activities. GMA also has superior signal quality in General Santos City and environs.

The network said that aside from Pacquiao’s two existing programs, “Pinoy Records" and “Totoy Bato," GMA Entertainment offered projects to Manny as soon as his schedule allows. These include his own sitcom, a drama series, concerts in Las Vegas and Los Angeles in the United States and in key cities in Canada and boxing clinics around the Philippines. The network may have to review these now in light of the recent developments, the statement said.

Moreover, according to GMA’s legal counsel, Dick B. Perez, Manny Pacquiao has a separate contract with GMA Network, which prohibits the boxing icon from appearing on “any television program, show, promotion or event of any other broadcast media entity other than GMA and its subsidiaries and affiliates without the written consent of GMA." GMA has not given him its consent to appear in ABS-CBN.

More than the money though, apparently Pacquiao has not been happy with how GMA-7 does promotions for his fights. That's GMA's major handicap since they don't really have a formal Sports division, unlike ABS-CBN.

Dyan is fit enough to keep up with Pacquiao on his training runs while interviewing him at the same time.

The public has to understand that Manny isn't educated so obviously, he wouldn't have the mental faculty (hence his moronic decisions) to understand these things and the implications of his abrupt actions. Boxing lang alam nung tao and he does it well. Someone else is running his show.
