Or kung i-require nila na ma-impound yung oto mo, you can use your camera phone to take pictures of your car, para may ebidensiya ka in case they think of planting 'evidence' just to frame you for the crime.

If the police acted the way they're acting now when they investigated the alleged suicide of Brenda's son, siguro hindi lang 7 pulis ang na-relieve.

Biruin mo yon, aarestuhin nila yung mga kapatid at kasambahay ni Brenda for obstruction(which includes a former AFP Chief-of-Staff, Gen. Benjamin Defensor, eh di naghalo ang balat sa tinalupan), hehehe

Well, at least the NAPOLCOM acted sensibly and suspended those cops headed by Supt. Franklin Mabanag...or was it Mayabang? Seriously, if it weren't for his uniform, I'd mistake him for an amateur news photographer wannabe with a DSLR hanging on his neck.

Newsflash Supt. Mabanag: Real detective work takes more than flash photography.

Just saw this news item in inquirer.net

    Tuesday, April 22, 2009

MANILA, Philippines -- Suspended Superintendent Franklin Moises Mabanag, who led the investigation into the death of broadcaster Ted Failon’s wife, revealed on Tuesday that his family has been hurting from a vilification campaign being waged against him.

"We are being condemned because we did our job. My children are hurting," Mabanag told the Philippine Daily Inquirer in an interview in Camp Karingal Tuesday afternoon.

He was referring to the negative reports about the Quezon City Police District for zealously investigating the shooting Failon’s wife, Trina Etong, inside the couple’s residence in Tierra Pura subdivision on April 15.

"I and my children believe my husband did the right thing and I know in my heart he would be vindicated because he is a good officer and a gentleman despite what they say about him," said Geraldine, Mabanag’s wife of 21 years.

"We are hurting but we believe in his conviction and passion and honesty which were the traits that drew me to him," Geraldine added.

She described her husband as a loving father who made sure he had time with them.

"No matter how late he arrives at home and no matter how tired he is, he would always check on our children and fix their blankets even when they’re already asleep," Geraldine said.

Mabanag insisted that the investigation of the QCPD unit, which he headed, was aboveboard.

He added that the broadcaster broke the law when he failed to report his wife’s shooting to the police for hours, gave instructions to the New Era hospital staff not to allow media and lawmen near him, and allowed his househelpers to clean the bathroom where his wife was found with a gunshot wound on the head.

"We followed police procedure, we followed the law. Had Failon been cooperative from the start without hysterics and drama, it could have been a different story," Mabanag said.

Mabanag said he and his family were hurt by the name-calling of few radio commentators.

When asked if he would file charges against the broadcasters who maligned his name, Mabanag said: "I’m still contemplating about filing charges against them. For the meantime, I’ll be spending my time with my children."
WTF?!? He's trying to justify his warrantless arrest na wala sa lugar? Jeez, somebody stretch his suspension for a longer period, please.

Fact 1: The PNP personnel at New Era did not witness a crime being committed in their presence
Fact 2: Neither did they have personal knowledge that a crime had just been committed and that the people they dragged kicking and screaming out of the hospital were the persons responsible.
Fact 3: Instead of filing a criminal complaint outright and securing a warrant, they disregarded police procedure, and hell, the Bill of Rights in arresting the in-laws and household help of Failon --- all for Obstruction of Justice which law I'm sure this Mabanag couldn't understand even with a map.

Resign and apply to be a security guard!
