Try asking at protegetech.org ... that's the local mazda 323 club, and there might be bars on sale there.
The simple answer is: yes, nakakatulong siya.
The complicated answer is: it depends.
A front-wheel drive car already has strut mounts close to the firewall, which makes them less prone to moving than in, say, an old BMW 3-series or a Miata, where the strut mounts are about six inches or more further forward.
Getting a strut bar will help stiffen the front end, giving you more front end grip, but the effects won't be as noticeable if you don't modify your shocks, springs and tires.
In other words, it's not a bad idea... specially if the car is getting on in years, but if you want to enjoy mountain climbing, get a good set of performance springs, gas shocks and, most importantly, tires.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

i bought a generic strut bar for less than P1K for my 323 a few years back.
and yes - it helps a bit... especially on those downhill corners.
though the only compromise is that the battery is now frikkin hard to install/uninstall! I also don't know if it contributed to the deterioration of my shock mounts.

May 3rd, 2007 10:49 AM #4in my case a Civic ESi it was quite noticeable when i installed it, stiffening the front end made steering response quite instantenous.... not sure which year level ang 323 mo. but i've driven the Familia '97 version later the body rigidity was better than my Civic so i'm not sure how it will make a difference for ur ride. but go for it if ur heart desires, kahit Mitsu EVo nga may Strut Bar din - 3pt. pa [E.Firewall to 2 Strut Towers]

May 3rd, 2007 11:14 AM #5right sir, if i remember it correctly old bmw nga yung kinakabitan nung bars. and nung in-explain yung purpose and how-it enhances performance i thought na pwede rin sa 96/97 mazda 323lx ko.
next na otomatic na tanong is, where and how much kya pagbili/pakabit? plan ko isabay na rin pag nagpalit ako shock mounts.
btw, kkaregister ko lang din sa protegetech, antay password. hope the site or membership is not as complicated as i percieve.
very helpful ang mga replies.. maraming salamat!

erickson,
what is your registered username in protegetech?
depends on your budget.
generic strutbars for the familia goes as low as 1200-1500p in banawe
branded strutbars can go from 3800p (hotbits) and 4500p (Zspeed)
the ultimate strut bar for the familia is the mazdaspeed one. goes as high as 7100p for a brand new one and as low as 4000pLast edited by caloyski5; May 3rd, 2007 at 06:29 PM. Reason: additional info

The three point is the best, but most are two point. If you can have one fabricated, have an extra bracket triangulated on the firewall.
