Mazda (BT-50) Pick-up coming to RP?

i was just at mazda gh yesterday. bt-50 prices:

2.5 4x2 MT - 949K
3.0 4x4 MT - 1.329M

as far as the price list says, they're both manual. hindi man lang sinabi kung gas or diesel

i saw 2 BT50 at ATC yesterday.
i'm not impressed at all

, not to offend mazda followers, as i was a previous owner of B2500 which im very satisfied. With the current competitors on the market this truck will be the last on my list. peace

From what I gather, the BT-50 will use a common rail diesel powerplant.

+ 1...bakit nga kaya ganun?,,,i browsed their website...wala na din yun tribute nila sa lists?....anong gimik kaya ng mazda?,,,,,siguro tribute is not selling well kaya etong pick up ang introduce nila.....

Its purported to be what the the Ranger have except the price. Di ko makilatis, no Mazda dealer in our area.

was fortunate enough to see the bt-50 at the CEL SMX convention. the only thing different from the current ranger are the aesthetic stuff like headlights, interior trim, and tail lights. the guy at the booth told me that the chassis was different but when i took a peek under and it was the same. so far, very disappointed as the offering for variants couldn't have been any better than that of the ranger's. the only thing that impressed me was that the wheel well in that thing seemed a bit deeper that the ranger's. the show truck had 22" rims on it.

but aside from that, I'd rather have another ranger. if they offered the 4x2 with the 3.0L engine, then the bt-50 would be my choice.
