really? even the box-type 323 has a 3rd brake light! ditto for the split rear seat.

ang alam ko talagang big difference ng GLXi sa GLi is the ABS, airbag (merong "SRS airbag" printed on the steering wheel), foglamps, and the luxo 20-disc CD changer.

i was referring to the familia (gen2.5) difference between the gli and glxi models. di ako familiar sa box-type or gen1 series.

kelan ba last lumabas yung gen1/box-type? di na ata sya inabot ng "gull-wing" emblem. or inabot ba?

yup. ok pa ang AC ng 323 namin. almost 90K km na ang tinatakbo... siguro mga 60K km pa ung huli kong pinagawa yung aircon (replacement of evaporator).

malakas pa rin ac ko. wala pang pinaparepair at di pa nagrerefill ng freon. almost 125k kms na. although half the time lang ako naka aircon. hehe

anyway 180k for a '98 GLXi is OK. but that price for a '98 GLi is a bit high (160k dapat siguro).

if you buy it, you should replace the timing belt, timing belt tensioner and idler bearings, and water pump, as well as the usual tuneup suspects (plugs, wires, air/oil/fuel filter, engine oil, and preferably the gearbox oil as well). this will cost you around 10,000 - 15,000 but should give you lots of peace of mind.

yung timing belt kapapalit pa lang daw. not sure dun sa iba...

10-15K? tapos OK na yun? then normal tune up na lang?

sir, malamig pa naman AC. pero may naririning kaming hissing sound not sure kung saan yun. pero sabi niya sa water pump daw. how much kaya paayos nun? sabi naman niya willing niya paayos b4 benta sakin.

Nagpaayos na din ako ng water pump ko pero matagal na yun di ko na maalala kung magkano exactly pero mga 4500 ata nagastos ko.

Ang isa pang magandang tingnan diyan is kung marumi yung gasket nung valve cover kase minsan dun may leak. Pero siyempre kung palaging bagong linis yung engine di mo ito makikita.
