Mazda 3 compressor problem

Car is 05 Mazda 3 2.0. Last thursday, i noticed a weird sound every time the compressor kicks in. tapos nawala din lamig kotse. Went to Mazda Makati yesterday, sabi either compressor or yung pulley ang problem. quoted 43k and 26k for the compressor and pulley.

visited ceejay las pinas earlier, sabi compressor nga. most likely may leak kaya naubos freon at nagbawas ng langis kaya natuyo yung loob ng compressor. kaya umiingay na ngayon. recommended to replace it. kasi hindi narerepair yung compressor ng mazda.

went straight to evangelista, found 2 shops na may surplus compressor. same diagnosis. 1st shop recommended few options:
- change oil yung compressor. mababawasan yung ingay pero hindi na maaalis. hindi naman daw basta basta bibigay ang compressor. yun nga lang maingay talaga. cost: 600 (labor) + 650 (freon) = 1250
- change to surplus compressor. charge freon. isolate/fix the leak. cost: 3800 (compressor) + 600 (labor) + 650 (freon) = 5050

2nd shop: got exact model ng compressor. in pristine condition. quoted 8k. plus 2k for labor and freon. 3.5k pag kasama cleaning kasi baklas ang dashboard.

magkano ba usually surplus na compressor ng 2005 Mazda 3? baka may marekomenda kayo mas mura?

Just got mine changed (mazda 3) compressor cost me 8k plus (surplus) 2 k labor. Tiniis ko un wierd na tunog kase nalamig oa naman kaso nun bumigay na stuck un compressor wheel napatid fan belt 😊 kaya dagdag gastos pa.

Go for original or quality parts nalang. Hingi ka nalang discount for cleaning. Total babaklasin lang din. Syempre dapat may warranty pa din yan at least 3-6 months for parts.
