is their anyone who can advise me whether the rotor disc is still covered by a warranty? model is 2011 and mileage is only 19k... the casa informed us that we need to reface the rotor disc and will cost us 6k for the job ... that sounds ridiculous but seems we have no choice... any advise?

Rotors are wear items. They aren't covered, so it's not worth having your brakes worked on at the dealer.

For 6500 you can buy a pair of new Runstop crossdrilled rotors already.

At just 19k ...I doubt if the rotor really need refacing. Get some 2nd or 3rd opinion. Refacing makes the rotor thinner and decreases its usable life so reface only when absolutely necessary.
