May 6th, 2009 06:02 PM #171What model do you own sir?
Does "manual shifting" on its manumatic transmission affect fuel economy? Can you overide it to shift earlier at atleast 2000 rpm? Or is it more of a disadvantage?

Mine is a Mazda 3 1.6L V 4 door. I never do manual shifting but I think there will be slight improvement in Fuel Efficiency if you do manual shifting. Regarding Shift override, I've never found any procedure in the owner's manual. Try consulting Mazda service experts.

Slightly difference nowadays, but larger years ago. Much of a manual's mileage advantage can be attributed to the fact the they have more forward ratios and thus a higher, more efficient top gear. If you're conscious in FC, you can shift gear at least 2000 rpm.

May 11th, 2009 04:47 PM #176I've read somewhere that there is a major discount on current models? My problem though is that they won't give me a big discount when I don't avail of their promo. I'd have to pay the insurance, lto and cm. Is it possible to avail the promo. Then just the principal to lessen the monthly mortgage?

May 11th, 2009 06:25 PM #177If ung kausap mo na SA is ayaw kang bigyan ng big discount then find another SA. PM me your number and I can give you Sales Agents that can give you big discount. You must insist na you'll get the unit through BANK AUTO LOAN. Pakulo lang yang mga promo nila, its not even a promo technically if you compute the expenses. Even if you'll PO the unit through bank financing, you can still get the LTO as a freebie. Ang iintindihin mo na lang is ung Chattel Mortgage and Comprehensive Insurance.
