I don't really mind so much, it still looks pretty sweet with the stock wheels, but I think the whole machoness of the car could be much improved with some 20" rims.:badboy:

    Congratulations to your new baby!

I would caution you however on changing the stock wheels to a 20" rims however. The reason why it could possibly void the warranty is because the tachometer is calibrated with the tire size it was shipped out with. So if you move to a bigger rim size = less tire rotation = slower accurate tachometer reading.

It might seem to be a good idea as it will obviously show a lower car mileage but you are just cheating yourself and in the long run, you will not have a good inkling when oil changes are needed or when timing belts needs to be replaced, etc.

i asked my SA about this and she said most likely it will not void the warranty but she'll confirm it first. i'd probably know when i get mine this saturday. i'm also thinking about changing the rims to 19 or 20. thinking about changing tires too since i find the stock tires quite narrow.

Maybe because it's new, or maybe I'm just excited :cheer: but this feels like a much more expensive car (not that it's cheap, it's still a LOT in my book). It almost feels German (in a good way):cheers2::borg1: the smilies on this site crack me up:moon:

    Out of town too.

But I did decide to take the CX-7 out of town. Love the Cruise Control feature. I've had cars that had cruise control before, but I must say this one is the best I've tried. Perfect for SCTEX. :toast:

Anyone put a trailer hitch on their CX7 yet? I need a bike rack to attach to it as well.

Thanks! I was thinking I may need to get it here just so that it's installed correctly, but from that site and etrailer the whole install looks simple enough. Plus Mazda here said they don't even have the hitch, nor can do just the install. Maybe I'll pull the trigger, let y'all know if I do.

hey guys just checking out the cx7 thread. this was actually one of my choice but unfortunately lost to the sorento via kepner-tregoe decision analysis but still cant help admiring this beaut everytime i see one on the road

though it seems to share my gripes with my mzda3-stiff suspension, weak aircon and questionable casa service...for me anyway im sure not everybody has the same experience. btw how is the space inside? somebody posted that exterior dimension is the same as the sta fe, im sure inside dimension would be different. ive been inside the crv and forester

Mazdas have stiff suspension because these are sports oriented cars, fast at cornering and stable during high speed driving. Mazda Casa service has improved greatly already. I don't find the aircon weak in my Mazda3.

The sante fe is definitely larger in dimension compared with CX-7. I think the Cx-7 is less roomy than the CRV. Sorento is a good 7 seater SUV but the price is not really attractive.

Agree fully. If you are wanting space, the CX-7 might not be for you. It is rather snug. But I usually sit in front so no biggie for me. Aircon is fine. My Mazda 3 aircon was a little lacking, but only when I park under the sun.

As to Mazda service, funny. This is what made me buy the CX-7. I've had but praises for Mazda service (Makati). Just yesterday, Mazda Makati called me asking if my Mazda 3 was ok. I had periodic maintenance done last month. I told them the Mazda 3 was already sold. :-(
