by the way, the 7 is not a smokers car as it does not come with an ashtray

it does not bother me as i stopped smoking already but i still need an ashtray or garbage bin for discarded parking tickets. tried looking for an aftermarket one that will fit our cup holders but could not find any. i ended up buying the OEM ashtray of the CX-9 since it fits our cupholders well. i got mine from mazda makati for P1,856

pero mas gusto ko pa rin yung JDM CX-7 accessory na bin/container that you put on the cupholder and has a blue led light when you open it up

That's ok I don't smoke in the car... i'm looking forward 3 years down the road with the mods I'm thinking for this baby it will never look old... unlike the CR-V or the RAV4s.

What do you think of this? Astig di ba? I think the Cx-7 has the most easily customizable look of all the CUVs, I might throw in a V6 engine if I have the dough just to let make fun of the people who will dare to challenge it on the road...

i will be doing my first mod this week - new rims of course. will maintain my black and white theme, hehehehe

however, i am still sticking to the stock size of 17x7 so as not to void my warranty. siguro in the future na yung 20s or even 22s, hehehehe

after searching and canvassing, i finally found the rims i want

Congrats to your soon to be owned Mazda CX-7 sir Daimengrui. Normal na sa Mazda ang astig sa porma. Yung Old Mazda 323 Hatchback nga with flipping headlights, nagagandahan pa rin ako until now.

wooohooo! just did my first external mods. i changed my OEM rims to Rota Options Hyper Silver. had to maintain the 17 size though so as not to void my tire (and suspension?) warranty

Hi does anyone tried to use their ipod on their unit? What aux cable did you guys used? male to male?

Actually I dont know what cable to buy. Can it be used to control the ipod on the dash and not on the unit itself?

Nice color prez. Actually I liked the color of white better (it makes the car look bigger)but my dad wants the black better, who could argue when he's the one paying

Ilang tao na ba dito ang talagang may cx-7? I heard different stories kasi. May nagsabi na 10 lang daw ang pinasok na unit nung november at nabenta na lahat. Hindi ko tuloy nabili xmas gift ko sa sarili ko (december pa kasi ang bigay ng bonus, hehehe).

Sabi ng dealer (mazda makati) ngayong middle of january darating ang bagong shipment, but when i called last Friday ang sabi Feb na daw o kaya March.

Ang hirap talaga. Nung walang pambili, meron, ngayon na may pambili, wala.

sorry to hear about that. so far, based on my count, there are 4 owners here (2 whites, 1 black, 1 red)

come to think of it. i have rarely see any other CX-7's running on the streets. since november, i have only seen 3 (all black pa). it does add to the exclusivity however. hehehehe

i hope that you get your unit soon

by the way about the aux thing? does someone tried it with their ipod yet?

yung white is either me or baka si sherwintommy. kung around the makati CBD lang, tiyak ako yun

haven't tried the connecting the ipod yet. i tried connecting using a usb (didnt work and the usb was fried) and another mp3 player (didn't work either). unfortunately, ako lang ang apple technologically challenged sa pamilya. the rest have either ipod touch or iphones pero ako nokia at walang mp3 player, nyahahahaha :hysterical: :rofl:

Baka nga ikaw yun around that area You have a usb slot? where? ive searched all over and all i can see is a small hole for a size of an earphone connector inside the armrest.

Im not that kind of a techie so im not sure if it will control my ipod on the dash. Oh well better go to the nearest mac center hehe.

that's it. it a stereo jack located inside the armrest. what i did was to look for a stereo jack with the other end being a male usb connector plug and while i did find one, it does not work for just a usb or some other generic mp3 player. however, while i was looking for such a connector, the guy at the mac shop said that for it to work on an ipod, you need the steeo jack but the other end is an earphone jack. i dont know however if that works as i have not tried it. FYI, the stereo-usb connector jack costs P150 at the mac shop. just about the same price even outside the mac shop

hmmm, maybe i should try a stereo jack with a earphone jack on the other end. maybe this will work even for a generic mp3 player, hehehehe
