This the 2nd time I heard about Amaron battery install while the engine is running. Very very risky indeed.

We did that with my Fiesta and XT. They used a small battery while taking out the old battery then putting a new one. Hot swap tawag nila. No reset needed.

    Thanks Egan.

I forgot to mentioned it, they used a small battery while he does the quick exchange, your right no reset.

Tech is servicing electrical of my older cars and seen him does this on a few mazda.

Should this affect/void warranty, being 235?

Not sure. Better check with your service advisor. My unit is out warranty when I had it changed to 235s

I am considering getting a used Mazda CX 5 (2017-2019). I want to keep it for more than 8+ years. There are questions I have for the owners:

    1. What is the current price range for models 2017-2019?
    2. Which is better to get, gasoline or diesel?
    3. What are the maintenance concerns/cost past the warranty?
    4. Is android auto and/or apple carplay compatible? Is there a workaround?
    5. What other possible issues I should look out for? (I stop, battery etc)?
    6. Would you recommend a used Mazda CX5?

Our 2013 CX-5 is still going strong. Only needed new rear shocks and mounts.

AA and Carplay mod is available at 8k or 11k depending on which store you go to.

We have some ex-Mazda mechanics in Metro Manila who set up their own shops.

Don't ever get the diesel if your routes are short & slow. The euro-6 compliant DPF will misbehave.
Go petrol, SkyactivG has proven to be uber reliable.

It will be against momma earth...but car & owner will be happier. You'll need to have the DPF function in the ECU turned off.
