I too wanted to get an MX5 last year but practicality set in (as well as the wife lol) so I got a sedan instead

Would still love to own an MX5 someday as it can’t be beat in the overall fun factor.

I don't want to ask about this, surely you can convince me given a minute or two.

So, what exactly does it do?

    Good pm mga tsikot lodi

I'm about to get my Mazda 2 v+ this month. Got approved for financing and already made the downpayment.

I've asked the SA if the monthly payment cutoff is determined by the release date, like if I have the unit released today does that mean my payments have to be on the 6th of each month? This is important for me since monthly ang sahod sa company ko instead of bi and I'd rather every 15th ang monthly payment para di ko na kailangan itabi yung pera ko.

He doesn't seem to want to answer my question but instead keeps pushing me to have the unit released this week. I'm not sure what to do should I just go ahead and follow what he says or should I take my time? To be honest I'm feeling pressured by this SA but I don't really know any better because it's my first time buying a car but I also don't like getting pushed around.

Edit: when I say I feel pressured by the SA i mean it to the point where I'm contemplating to cancel my purchase. If it gets worse can I ask them to refund my downpayment instead?

Thanks in advance for your input

Based from experience, depende sa banko kung ano araw nila e papasok ung "bill" mo. For my first car after two weeks ka release ng car ung dinedebit sakin. For my second naman 9 ko sya nilabas pero every 4 nag dedebit sa account ko. Not sure sa iba. Own experience ko lng yan. Hope this helps

If I may suggest, you can pay it in advance. That way, you don't have to worry about the cutoff. That is, you always have a "reserved fund". If you are "delayed", you are still way ahead with your scheduled payment.

As tyr0 said...dealerships just handle releasing. You can talk to your bank on the monthly debit sched.

Are you getting the car through in house financing? Seems that way if your only contact is the SA. Ask your SA who can you work with from the Financing dept. They can give you a better idea on when your monthly amortization will be.

Correct. He seems to be dodgy when I ask him about this which makes me all the more hesitant. What do you think would be the repercussion if I insist to have it every 15th of the month?

Edit: on the topic of being hesitant, is it too late for me to back out and get my downpayment back? I'm not getting a good impression from my SA and am beginning to regret not going for City which is a shame since I really like the M2.

I could do this but I'd really rather not get my personal savings involved. When I applied for the car loan I was planning to have it deducted from my salary. Paying in advance with my savings wouls mess up my finances

There should be no repercussions with you insisting that you pay every 15th of the month. Possibly your release date will be delayed to either the 15th or later but it’s a small price to pay.

That's what I thought, but the SA keeps nagging me to have it released right away without even answering my question, much to my annoyance.

    Ask to speak to manager?

While car is not yet released and received, no transaction has taken place...

You are the customer so in a way you can "demand". In my case, my car back then was delivered on time but I said I wasn't available so they waited for me. You have a "better edge" because you are not paying in cash. Most of them, if not all, doesn't want you to pay in cash.

I suggest discussing this minor matter w/ the dealership head. Pretty sure they'd accommodate your request. Which dealership is this?

Funny thing is, he's supposedly the manager. The original SA who worked with me was patient and corteuous until he took over for some reason.

This was my expectation when I signed up, not the other way around like I'm experiencing right now

Well he probably has a boss either way.

In any case, it's your money. Your rules...
