Upon removing the engine cover, I see plush engine insulation cotton was scattered and engine harness got gnawed. I drive this car 2-3 times a week.

I got it towed to casa and they gave a rough estimate on the fix; around 100-180k+ PHP. Ouch! I found out that they do not do rewiring. Casa won't because they would rather sell you a complete harness (probably as required by their dealer agreement with Mazda).

Anyone knows a reputable mazda electrician that can do it on my hobo mazda 2016. Thank you.

an ordinary electronics technician can probably repair those wires. color-coded naman, eh.
even an amateur hobbyist can do it!
we used to do those kinds of things, back in our youth, when we were young and poor-ish.
    heh heh.

    Thank you yapoy86 and JohnM!

I'll probably try out Zic oil with the 1st gen Mazda 3 and Fiesta sedans before I use it with the BN model.

my stock dunlop sportmaxx tires developed severe side wall cracks.. made in japan.. first time to experience this as most of my tires from other brands last up to 10 years with no issues..

surprisingly, all four tires developed the same problem even though the tires are still thick and no repairs done since it got out from mazda showroom.. replaced them with yokohama fleva v701, proudly philippine made!

got them for 5,332.60 pesos each.. compared to kumho * 6.3k each

cheapest tires i found are from westlake brand.. around 3.5k each.. but i opted for the yokohamas as i dont like chinese brands..

next project is to install rubber protection on the coil springs.. i'm hearing clunking noise on the suspension when going over humps in our village.. will also check the strut bearing as i've read online that they can cause the noise too.
