February 6th, 2015 12:49 PM #123its been close to 3 years di ako nabisita sa villasis, urdaneta, baguio. ganun na ba katraffic villasis urdaneta? villasis medyo matraffic lang sa bagsakan/palengke dati, sobrang traffic na ba ngayon?
how about urdaneta? akala ko ba pinaluwag na daan. alam ko dati matraffic kasi may daan na malubak just at the boundery of nancayasan/urdaneta. basta nabaha nasisira yung espalto.
btw, be extra careful sa san nicholas stretch from 1st tulay to 2nd, its an accident prone area. same with nancayasan before the street vendors or max restaurant kung meron pa. that road is deadly.
kennon vs. marcos highway. kennon is for small vehicle kasi narrower ung kalsada. wala ding masyadong pujs, buses, and trucks. kalaban mo lang dun ung mga passenger vans, ang bibilis. and pag sa kennon ang daan, nothing says it better that you have reach baguio than the lion head. :D
marcos highways road is wider and much better. di ko lang alam kung develop na ung viewing deck to see the south china sea. its quite worth to see it during sunset. but of course if you use kennon road, you can always add in your iterinary to visit tam-awan later to see the magnificent view of south china sea.

February 6th, 2015 02:32 PM #124Thank you sa mga reply sir. Sobrang laking tulong mga inputs nyo. First time ko kasi aakyat ng baguio bukas. Baka mag villasis urdaneta ako since maaga pa sana walang traffic, then mag kennon road.

Hi guys,
Anyone been to Baguio recently? Pwede na ba uli dumaan sa Urdaneta exit? Up to what exit is the farthest to Baguio in TPLEX?
Thanks!

In response to my earlier questions, I was able to drive going to Baguio last week.
I would say approx average time is now between 4.5-5hrs from NLEX Balintawak to just around the end of Kennon Road in Baguio.
Kennon Road wasn't as bad as I thought, well partly because we went there on a good season.
Kay siguro ipush ng 4 hours if you get a constant 100km/h run, no slow vehicles hoggling lanes in NLEX, Urdaneta to Kennon.
The Urdaneta strech of TPLEX is already open so most of the busy towns are definitely skipped already.
SCTEX to the end of TPLEX is one, long, straight expressway.
Well I hope these new network of roads do good for the economy.Last edited by kotiko; February 23rd, 2015 at 04:49 PM.
