Planning to travel to Albay this summer, while searching for Bitukang Manok facts, I came across this argument:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/busesin...7604101263653/
with regards to where is the real bitukang manok situated. Most articles points out that its the Quezon National Forest Park itself, but other says its the Bicol National Park.
Also I've heard, there's a newer bypass road for the Bitukang Manok,, what is the name of this road?
Pls enlighten me. TIALast edited by ash0279; March 8th, 2012 at 03:22 AM. Reason: additional info

That is from Bongabon going to Baler quezon (nueva ecija-aurora road).
Maybe somebody from bicol can help you.Last edited by Noel Salisipan; March 8th, 2012 at 05:05 AM.

Bitukang Manok is the one leading to/going out of the Quezon National Forest Park in Atimonan, Quezon. Minsan ang tawag diyan ay EME. It saves you 15-30minutes of travel time on this road vs. the zigzag road below.... More importantly, it offers you a surreal driving experience.
Abutan mo na lang ng pera in appreciation of their work.

pag sa quezon or going south, it refers to "old zigzag road" between pagbilao and atimonan.. mas maiksi at mas matarik.. newbies are advised to take precaution. dami na nahulog dito.. lalo na pag pababa na.. madaming nabibiktima ng brake fade.

Kaya dapat,- naka-engage palagi ang gear... Huwag ilalagay sa neutral or angel gear..... Brake fading ang mangyayari, leading to a possible car accident...

bitukang manok is actually at bicol national park...quezon national park is called "EMMY" kasi yung road nya is like M (zigzag). if you take the old hi way (daet) then you will pass "bitukang manok" BUT if you take quirino / andaya hi way hindi mo na madadaanan yung bitukang manok sa bicol national park.
yung sa quezon national park naman, i agree matarik at mabangin, extra precaution are advised kasi sobra dami na nahulog dun though shorten ang travel time mo taking the old zigzag road.
