Achilles 2233 tires ko before for my Altis. Lasted me 42,000 km so roughly the same lifespan as the Advan Fleva. Mura ng 2233 though so if budget is a concern, this is a good choice.

Sir Jut, musta ride comfort at road noise ng Achilles vs Advan Fleva?

Same lang road comfort. Slightly quieter Fleva vs 2233 but not a big difference

Tsuchiya tries out Sailun's performance tire (GENE R pole D)

Aside from the vague center feel, he's quite impressed with the grip. It churns out a Tsukuba laptime faster than the Michelin PS4!

    Tsukuba:

    Michelin Pilot Sport 4S: 1:09.104
    Sailun GENE R pole D: 1:09.008

Unfair naman na comparison - PS4S is a street tire that will last tens of thousands of kilometers. Sailun Gene R is closer to Achilles 123S, Michelin Sport Cup, etc that's noisy for the road and will wear out very quickly.

    Edit:

I retract my previous post. You're right, the PS4S will last a lot longer, but at the same time it's also competitive with 200-treadwear tires like the Neova AD08R.
IMO that's just a testament to how good the PS4S is that it gets close to 200-treadwear performance despite being a 300-treadwear tire. (AFAIK it's so good that most of the Best Motoring guys swear by the PS4S and now use it as their tire of choice).

In the same grain, the Sailun beating the PS4S is also a sign of how much these "cheap Chinese tires" have improved. Yes it won't last as long and will be noisy, but if you need a cheap track tire that's probably 1/4 to 1/3 of the cost...

For a few years now, ganda performance ng top budget brands for their track tires. Nankang AR1, Achilles 123S, Westlake Sport RS, GT SX2 - these are all faster than similarly priced tires like the Bridgestone Potenza RE003 or Yokohama Advan Fleva V701. So among racing circles, mas common talaga yung mga 200TW tires kahit budget brand lang kasi better performance.

Of course there's the Bridgestone RE71-R and Yoko AD08 or A052 but 1 of these tires is already a full set of the budget tires above.

Michelin PS4 and PS4S super balance of performance, longevity, road noise. Best for road cars with occasional track use. Another good option is the newly-launched Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 5.

Comparison of PS4 vs PS4S vs Cup 2:
