Much of the difference can be felt on gas consumption. Most specially if before you're using 175 then suddenly you to to 205 or 195. Tire-road contact will be more.

Check this out: Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible
Basically, a positive offset moves the wheel inward & a negative offset moves the wheels outward. Buying wheels with a positive offset closer to 0 or is a negative offset will most likely be a dished or concave wheel. Most wheels have an offset of +38 to +40. Rim width is also a factor. Buying a wheel with a wide rim diameter, say 8 inches & up may increase the possibility of the tire hitting the fenders or the suspension components. It all depends on the model you will use it on. If your car is a BRZ, it will accept wider tires & wheels. Kung Vios lang, don't go too wide.
