February 26th, 2010 06:41 PM #1Good day!
I don't have any background about changing the mags or tires so if you don't mind, I'll ask you guys first.
2. Any recommended brand?
3. Estimated budget?
That's all mga sir! Thank's for helping a noob like me who want's to add up some pogi points in my car.

Madalas kasi mahal ang goma ng 17". 16" na goma medyo mahal na rin actually, usually starting around PhP4400/tire for the more established brands.
Rota and Advanti are good wheel options I think. I can personally attest to Rota's quality, although most of their lineup consists of copies of Japanese tuner wheels. Advanti wheels meanwhile have been used by Red Bull's Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula 1 team and they have quite a number of unique wheel designs.
16" wheels are about PhP21,000 for a set of four. 17" wheels would be around PhP25,000. Don't forget tire price

Diba almost all Concept One rims eh mabigat, so meaning FC will suffer ?
Fact or Myth, anyone ?
*TS : You can visit TyreRack at Ortigas Avenue to scout for rims. Dubshop too, you can visit though, I wouldn't really recommend since I think it Dubshop rims wouldn't look nice on a Ford Focus.

you will have to put lower profile tires if you'll put larger diameter rims. that's the sense of it, putting bigger and wider rims is sacrificing comfort.
if i were in your shoes, ill be going with rota P-45R 18x9.5 in 225/40 or 225/35 tires. yan ang definition ng matagtag! anything lower than 50 series tires ay matagtag. pero depende pa din.

March 7th, 2010 01:26 PM #8Yes sir, you're absolutely right, going with bigger rims while maintaining the original tire diameter by using lower profile tires is what I meant by "the bigger the better", aesthetically speaking. Para sakin kasi parang mas maganda tignan pag busog na busog ng rims yung wheel well, but that's just my personal taste.
The misspellings on that page are so funny! "Nono-ceramic" "In-Fared multi layer" :twak2:
What's the best car tint brand and color?
