January 28th, 2010 09:11 AM #1Hi Fellow Members,
Tulong naman. I got a 1999 CRV lately. It is presntly fitted with 225 70 R15 tires. Kaya lang I already need to replace the pair on the rear dahil pudpod na. Gusto ko sanang ibalik sa stock 205 70 R15 yung mga gulong kaya lang I only have money for now to buy just 2 tires (medyo kapos).
Your opinions please. Again, I have no money to replace all 4 tires for now.

the 99 V has a 4wd system that relies on rotational speeds of the 4 wheels in order to activate. its not electronic, so there's very little tolerance that can be programmed in.
simply put, the differences in size bet. the front and rear must be kept to minimum so you wont F up your 4wd system. malaki ang diff bet. 205 and 225 ha... the latter is a lot wider, so more rubber and heavier. how long have you been running these sizes? do you feel/hear weird noises when you turn (thats the rear differential malfunctioning)?
i suggest you just get the same sizes na lang for whichever size you want to run. sa akin nagpalit ako ng nankang 205/70/15 dinnung 2008, all 4 less than 10k - easily cheaper than branded tyres - after having come from 225/75/r15 yoko all terrain geolandars (na sobrang bigat at ingay) which cost me about 15k all 4 in 2004.

di yan pwede. pwede pa kung pang spare tire basta mabagal lang takbo mo. kun short ka sa budget suggest ko lang you get used tires with usable tread na not more than 4 years old

January 28th, 2010 01:53 PM #5Hi voltscastillo,
Thank you sa response. I canvassed for Goodyear Fortera and Bridgestone Dueler pero parehong almost P5,000 per piece yung kanilang 205. Kung about P10,000 lang yung Nankang, OK ako dyan. Kaya lang, saan ba ako pwedeng makabili n'yan. Hindi ko makita in any of the threads.
Salamat uli!

Sir,
Ayaw mo ng Yokohama?
Last week I bought from premier Yokohama dealer in Commonwelath para sa Innova 205/65/r15 pero nagtanong ako ng 70 series na Geolandar H/T which is P3200/piece SRP. Problema bago pa yung reserba ko kaya balik pa rin of sa 65 series na Aspec, ending buying 3 pieces 205/65/r15 *P3,450 SRP but I got especial discount and got it for P3,260/piece.

Maraming maraming salamat. Anyway, thank you uli.
