Hi sir, Thunderer "Mach I" yung ipinalit sa sedan ko. Okay naman yung ride, tahimik compare sa stock na Bridgestone Turanza na gamit ko dati.

How about Arivo Tires, do you have feedback?
Sobrang laking mura niya compared to mainstream brands like bridgestone, yokohama, michellin etc.
5.5k vs 9-11k pesos per tire.

I usually do my "online window shopping" sa Mindanao Tyrehaus in where else - Mindanao Avenue. Ilan beses na rin ako nakapagpapalit doon. But since malayo nga sa amin sa Marikina, I buy locally na lang dito sa DKC sa J. P. Rizal. They have changed owners(?) several times already so not sure ano na pangalan ngayon.

Anyway, my rule of thumb is I try to stick with the mid-priced tier. From the Mindanao website, I can get an idea of the lowest and highest price for my tire size. So let's say lowest would be some never heard brand for 2.5k, then the highest price would be 5~6k, then I'd go with those priced around 3~4k. I can go low (but not lowest) since I don't do long distance and/or high speed driving naman. Mostly city driving lang. Highest speed probably is 100kph in EDSA (short burst speed lang) or 60kph sa Commonwealth. Otherwise, you really have to consider investing in good tires and not cheap out on them.

You can do your own research first to narrow down your choices. Comfort ba or long tread life? All weather (dry/wet)? Tire speed and load rating? Every tire brand worth their salt has their lineup listed as to these considerations. Pag walang proper website, scratch ka na from my list.

My next consideration would be the tire wall design, mostly for aesthetics lang... but that's a matter for another topic.

This was exactly how I did my tire shopping this time around! Glad to know that I am not alone on this Best place to buy tires?

One thing I also do upon determining the mid priced tier I am willing to consider for the tire maker is to take a look at their top of the line offerings. The tire technology of these mid tier brands have already improved to a point that their top of the line offerings perform better than the entry level entries of the more expensive brands
