nagkakatalo sila sa safety, mas rigid at mas nakaka absorb ng impact ang mga orig kesa sa mga copy.
aftermarket rims, dalawang klase sila, made of aluminum alloy or magnesium alloy. (yung magnesium alloy rims, dun nakuha yung term na "mags" ng mga nakakatanda. )
mas safe ang aluminum alloy vs magnesium alloy, magnesium alloy nababasag, sad to say karamihan ng dumadating satin na copy/fake rims gawa sa magnesium alloy, kaya compromise ang safety.
mas tama pang bumili ng Rota kesa sa mga copy (kahit class A pa yan). ang Rota may branding at may rights sila to replicate, ang mga copy wala at wala din silang quality control.

May effect ba sa kilometer reading ang 17 na mags?
Mas mahaba or mas mataas? Pansinin ko lang pag punta ako galle edsa from our house mga 12km sya balikan sa altis na stock ang rim pero kung gamit ko naka17 mga 10km lang sya.

^^ yes. Bigger diameter kasi kaya less km reading. Same with speed, if your running 100km/h on 17s, tapos stock is 15s most probably your running around 110 to 115. Pero magdedepend pa rin sa series ng goma.

Mas malaki diameter ng 3.5% on 17s
If running 100km on speedometer nasa around 103km to 105 km real reading.
Same goes sa odometer. Less traveled on 17s.
Toyota's Prius i have read would stop if any of its hybrid system or battery is dead or...
