[QUOTE=diesoline]yup, original vigan longanisa nak meh! vigan has improved a lot since the last time your wife last set foot there. the usual haunts in vigan are the old houses in crisologo st. and the general vicinity around thereabouts. plaza burgos in the late afternoon and evening for the merienda. i dunno if it is still possible to arrange for a float down the abra river on a rakit (bamboo raft). for the authentic vigan house experience, go to the fr. burgos' house, villa angela and the quema house.

the north has many beaches. watch out for the ilocos version of the pacific coast highway in santa, ilocos sur. there is a lesser known scenic detour via santiago that exits in san esteban for more china sea vistas.
