November 29th, 2007 12:39 PM #1Hi Tsikoteers,
Has anybody in this thread experienced problems with their transmissions? I have a local Carnial 2000 Model with Automatic Transmission. Kapag malamig pa ung engine ok naman ung hatak niya but when umiinit na nawawala na ung power.
Stuck na ako sa first gear and reverse. Ipainagawa ko naman sa mechanic. Bumili ako ng rebuilding kit thinking na ok na ung problem. After installation, ganun pa rin. Sabi naman sa akin ung speed sensor daw. Replace ko na din. Still no effect.
Ngayun naman ang sabi sa akin sira na daw ung differential ko and drive shaft. Medyo frustrating na dahil aside from the gastos, 1 month ko na din hindi nagagamit ung carnival.
Baka may maitutulong kayo. Baka may alam din kayo na pwede kuhaan ng surplus parts for carnival in metro manila.
Thanks in advance.

This tip from diesoline might be worth checking out. It's from the Carnival/Sedona thread --> http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showt...sor#post802199

1. radiator fan
2. temperature gauge
3. computer module for the A/T
if the sensor is not working anymore, the A/T computer module will interpret the absence of a reading that the engine is still cold -- consequently, it will prevent the transmission from going into overdrive.
For Carnival parts, try contacting the following:
1. Jay Castillo
0917-7448113
2. Fronte (auto supply in Babawe)
712-0864 or 712-0919
3. Goodgear (auto supply in Pasay)
Sorry, di ko mahanap number nya. Pa-search na lang sa Carnival/Sedona thread.Last edited by mikey177; March 4th, 2008 at 07:49 PM.

^ Bro,
Is the shop you're referring to Karmelcon, or another shop that I saw (parang Korean surplus something ang pangalan) that is a bit farther inward along the street of Fronte?

July 21st, 2008 02:48 AM #6hi sir, try and bring your car to fronte. the owner has an automatic transmission shop behind. ask them to check your car and get a second opinion. i suspect that your mechanic did not do a good job.
