Possible na faulty brake light switch. Saw the same problem in another forum, brake light switch ang problem. Attached ang smart key natin sa brakes, so worth it to check this out. Possible din an fuse issue. Check fuse blue 15a, baka loose, this fuse controls the brake light switch. Kung loose push it down lang.

sir kung ito lang ang problema, dapat hindi po pwedeng mag-redondo yung sorento niya. basics of A/T.

Anong basics of A/T yan?

Hirap pag walang first hand experience sa mga engine start button.

Basta di brake switch, most possible battery yan.

Battery, no doubt about it. Our Jazz was only a few weeks old when the battery died so the idea is not farfetched

fuel pump daw yung problem. yung batt e malakas pa daw. pag tanggal sa fuel pump yung socket niya sa negative side parang me namuong corrosion. kulay light brown na yung socket.. hopefully yun nga ang problem. balik sila mamaya together with the replacement parts. sa bahay lang gagawin..

^ battery yan kita mo pagbalik nila ng spare parts, di pa din aandar yan. pano nila nalaman malakas ang baterya eh maint free yan. sayang lang pabalik-balik. tingen ko yun unit mo di pa din na-servican ng recall kasi may problema sa wiring sa pinto lights ang Sorento

and you should wish and hope na battery lang kasi kung yun ang corrosion nakow for a brand new car tsk tsk tsk

Wow good to hear that sir, did they tell you what causes the corrosion? Or isolated ang issue?

Ratchet, that's really good to hear. Were you able to take some pictures of the problem? What could have been the root cause of the corrosion in the fuel pump connectors or assembly? Hopefully it will not happen again.
So the diagnosis is " it's the fuel pump". Prognosis is, hopefully "well", enjoy your sorento again.
