Yehey!!! My sedona is back and running. More than one month din ang pag repair. Yung main cause ng problem is nag loose tread yung bolt sa cam shaft pulley kaya nawala ang timing causing back fire. Pinalitan yung bolt at pulley kasi kinain din ng bolt. The worst part is kailangan bagkasin din yung mga valve at e setting uli.

You have to remove the wood panels first.
1. Remove the ashtray, because the gap that it will leave behind is your leverage in removing the panel.
Some tips before starting: Make sure engine is not running and handbrake is fully engaged. because i often put the gear lever into "L" as to give you more space to work. This is for AT guys. For MT, put it into reverse. Also make sure you're doing this on a level surface so as to prevent the van from rolling down!
2. carefully pry out the wood panel via the gap left behind by the ashtray.
3. once removed you will see four phillips screws holding the 2-DIN stock headunit.
4. remove these screws and pull out the head unit.
5. you will need to take out two wiring harnesses from behind the head unit and the aerial antenna cable.
that's it.

January 22nd, 2010 12:35 AM #2747Hi, its been years since my last check-in. After a good repair, my car has been running very well, no smoke, very quiet engine, powerful so to speak. Two nights ago, on my way home, the engine stalled but recoverred til i reached the parking lot. I was about to make the last reverse to park then my engine concked out. May fuel, malakas battery, putok yung 10A fuse sa ignition, lower rigt most fuse sa Kias Sedona Diesel sa fuse box sa kick panel driver side. The following morning, nilagyan ko ng 10A fuse, umandar ng 30sec. then 10A busted again. i tried til 15 A, it lasted for 3 mins then busted again. Please help.

January 23rd, 2010 01:36 AM #2749Hi, no other symptoms, i was able to diagnose that it can only be electrical because when i turn on the starter, i dont see the heater symbol preceeding it, the starter turns, engine does not kick-in. Everytime i change the 10A fuse it starts but not for long, just 1 to 3 mins then the fue blows again. i went up to 15A but wouldnt go beyond it, baka wires ko ma fry. he he he. The courtesy lights on the door panels goes off with the 10a fuse too.

January 23rd, 2010 01:57 AM #2750fuseboxes or car manuals usually come with a diagram. what does the diagram say about the fuse? what items pass thru that fuse?
