Hi there.
about the falling RPM sypmtom. seems to point to a faulty alternator. ganyan din ang symptom na naranasan ko na pabigay ang alternator nung previous carnival namin.
since papatignan na rin ang alternator, check nio kung 100AH ba ang battery na nakakabit ngayon. kapag mas mababa dun, undercapacity to at makakacause ng problema. standard requirement ng electrical system ng carnival is a 100AH battery.
--------------------------
believe it or not the problems you're encountering on your van does not even come close to what i experienced on our carnival. but i still loved it. kahit na itinirik ako nun ng ilang beses din di ako pinahamak nun. tsaka bago namin binenta un halos lahat ng problema naayos na

November 10th, 2009 09:13 PM #2683*jabr, sir nice meeting you. Salamat po dun sa seats.
Mga bro, ilang liters ba na ATF kailangan pag magpalit? naguguluhan kasi ako sa owners manual, sabi it can hold 2.7quarts but reading the specifications transaxle fluid is 7.6liters. Ilan po nilalagay nyo? TIA

November 13th, 2009 10:31 PM #2685Hello mga sir, i want to remove the cylinder head covers (2.9 diesel carnival) but have to remove the injection nozzles. Anyone who can knows how to remove them? Wala kc instruction sa manual on how to remove the nozzles. I am afraid I may break them. Can someone in the thread give instruction on how to remove. Thank you in advance.

November 13th, 2009 11:12 PM #2686medyo mahigpit yan fittings ng nozzle, standing in the front you can turn the fittings counter clockwise.. after loosening the fittings you can loosen the injector holders.. nakasuksok lang ang injector ng carnival kaya may holder yan.. if you remove the holder first iikot yung injector..
dun naman sa injection pump mahigpit din yan be careful not to damage the radiators sa pag loosen..
pag balik naman you need a helper.. higpitan mo muna yung sa injection pump side tapos yung sa injector tamang higpit lang.. ask the helper to crank the engine.. while cranking loosen one injector fitting to purge the air and let the diesel flow then tighten.. do this on the next 3 injectors.. do this as fast as you can!!

November 14th, 2009 12:56 PM #2687Thanks yapoy86. Just for clarification. Yon fitting is that the tubing coming from injection pump to the nozzle. The holder yon ba yon fork like medal that pushing down the nozzle. I had try remove all those, but mahigpit pa rin ang nozzle so I don't know which way to turn clockwise or counter clockwise. Naka-forcefit lang ba yan nozzle. After turning ba ng nozzle. when it came loose automatic ba matatangkal. Again thank you.

Just to clarify. When you say dapat 100AH batt rating, does it mean compact 6SM din like atlas or pwede 3SM na 100AH and medyo mataas ang CCA? Nahihirapan talaga ako maghanap ng Atlas or any compact 6SM for that matter.
I recently bought a b/n alternator kay goodgear since I already had my old alternator repaired (IC) a few months back pero bumigay ulit. Im just keeping my fingers crossed na wag ulit masira alternator ko until such time na makakuha ako ng atlas batt. Sayang naman yung b/n 3SM na outlast
kung papalitan ko agad.

November 14th, 2009 10:18 PM #2690yes yung nga yung mga fittings with tubings kasama yung parang bolt na nag connect ng tubes sa nozzles.. wag mo muna tanggalin yung parang forks na nag hold sa nozzle until naluwagan mo na yung fittings.. pag tanggal na fittings then tanggalin mo na yung nozzle holders.. yung nozzle sinisikwat lang yan.. you can use 2 screw drivers para masikwat mo.. medyo masikip lang yan gawa ng mga dumi na umipit na sa gilid.. pwede mo din ikot yung nozzle back and forth para lumuwag.. kung ayaw mo tanggalin yung nozzle ikot mo na lang 90 degrees para maluwagan mo yung fittings the fuel return fittings.. yun yung parang V na mga tubes..meron yung mga copper o-rings na maliliit be sure not to loose them
