odometer was functioning but the speedometer doesnt and stuck at 20kph.

gud day to all carnivaliers/sedoners.its been a long whle since my last post..i hope none of you were caught in the middle of a great flood brought about by ondoy and peping..
i just want to share some thoughts about the issue regarding the oil pump chain.(BTW, mine is sedona'02 LS M/T)..I was alarmed with what i read concerning the OPC issue.so i ask my mechanic what can he say about this.(medyo nakukulitan na rin ata sa kakatanung ko tungkol sa OPC).His thought was,check the "oil light icon" in the panel.once the engine starts,(supposed to be it should be off after about 2-3 secs.) but if it continues to be ON for about 10 secs. or so.,then you should think of replacing the OPC.

sir i just want to know your opinion RE injection pump. what are the indications if the pump needs to be calibrated.the nozzle tips were already calibrated .i noticed kasi sa car ko(sedona'02 LS M/T),tuwing umaga,parang ung pag start ng kuliglig. then after a few seconds siguro mga 30 secs to a minute,medyo nag improve na rin yong idle, (but not reaching the 1000 rpm).pag ni rev ko,don plang nya ma reach yong 1k rpm. then ok na sya the whole day.my concern is starting the engine in the morning.Is that normal sir?how much will it cost for the injection pump calibration.TIA

Hi imperialv, the AC Delco model is S95D31L 90AH, 160RC, CCA730. This model of battery is available in the Philippines. You can check the website of ACDelco. I bought it at S&R, it also available sa mga dealer ng ACDelco, it cost around 6500.
I agree with altec, the wiring hardness is important. The wire of Carnival become brittle and easily lost it contact when you have frequent unplug them during servicing.

As stated in page 8-4 of the carnival manual for those with the manual, it says there the electrical system battery is 12V 100AH, and the alternator is 12V 110A. Therefore, any battery less than that will make it underpowered. The alternator can charge a battery up to 110amps, but since your battery capacity is smaller, the battery will discharge faster, causing your alternator to work more frequently. And take note this is standard issue specs. When you accessorize your car (upgrade headlights, upgrade audio/video system, alarm, bigger horn, etc), and you install a smaller battery, then the alternator will even work harder.

Nakabili na ako ng rocket na brand.. Sa casa ko na binili.. Actually ang carnival ko ay gen2... 50% na lang kasi ang capacity kaya pinapalitan ko na just to make sure..

Greetings folks.

Apologies for the delay. I've finished scanning the J3/KV6 manual, that Jabr kindly provided, few months ago. But stuff got in the way and a really bad argument with Globe Broadband resulted in loss of DSL for almost a month.

The manual is mostly about engine/transmission/fuel system and I have packaged it into 7 unrelated groups to get under Yahoo Mail's 10 MB limit.

It was scanned at 150 dpi and saved in JPEG with quality set to 'low', best compromise I can come up between file size and resolution. On my Mac, I can zoom in about 6 times before it starts getting all blocky.

Please PM your e-mail and as soon as I get enough interested parties, I'll send it out.

hello mga sirs,
ask ko lang po kung normal ba na kapag naka ilaw ung panel pati ung aircon,tpos pag bubuksan ung pintuan sa driver side,sabay namamatay ung ilaw sa panel pati ung sa ilaw ng aircon..experience ko lang a while ago coming from the church,mejo madilim na kasi kaya i switched on the lights.then pagdating sa harap ng bahay,napansin ko pag bukas ko ng pinto,sabay nawala ung mga ilaw ng panel at sa aircon.naisip ko baka accident lang ung pagpatay ng ilaw after opening the driver side door.but i tried it twice, thrice, but the same result.what can be the cause of this.patulong naman mga sirs.TIA.....

afaik, speedometer is not repairable. same thing happened to my previous carnival. brace yourself. speedo unit is 5k at casa.

may aftermarket alarm ba ang carnival mo? normally ganito ang pagkakawire nila. pag bukas mo ng pinto, mag bi blink ang ilaw sa panel, etc. etc.
