    MVCP Bio & Energy Resources
    028875642

i had a hard time reaching them thru long distance, though. i just bought a thai?/korea? made battery (PUMA DELKOR) with similar specs in baguio. so far, so good.

thanks so much bro! tried calling them asap, but was told that they moved out already.

I think delkor is a korean brand. Just spoke to a dealer in banawe (jawe mktg) over the phone, srp is around 6,600. What are the specs of the batt did you get? They were offering me a 3sm with 100A and 650-700 CCA. Is this the same one that you got?

feel free to make some inputs when you are online

    Hi mga sir:
For the battery, just buy a AC Delco 3SM N95 which cost around 6,500. And the CCA is 775. I change my alternator as I have problem with my alternator that overcharge 2 years ago upgrade to 105A. I bought a second one some where in a shop sa mga sidestreet sa Banaue for P3500. I don't have problem until now. I am driving a Carnival Park II AT.

i don't see any specs on the battery itself.

i remember the shop's manager showing me the specs off the shop's brochure. but suffice to say that it adheres closely to the original

    Rocket: SMF1000= AH 20hrs 100, AH 5 hrs 80, CCA 870, L-330 W-172, H-232.

here"s a pic of it sitting in my dirty engine bay:

you might also find this quote from www.bmwcarclub.org.ph interesting.

For BMWs with batteries in the trunk, the correct size is almost always a DIN88, including ones for E46, E39, X5. The dimensions are 353 x 175 x 175/190 mm. A battery labeled DIN100 or 60038 would also have the same dimensions.

    There are plenty of choices:
    Motolite Gold DIN88, 85Ah, 157 RC, P6,750
    ACDelco S58515, DIN88, 85Ah, 158 RC, P6,600-P7,800
    Delkor 58515, DIN88, 88Ah
    Delkor 60038, DIN100/DIN60038, 100Ah, P7,500
    Bosch S4, DIN100, 100Ah, P8,900
    Magic Power 55815, DIN88, 85/88Ah, P6,600
    FB 58815, DIN88, P5,550
    Puma DIN88, 85/88Ah, P5,000
    Puma DIN100, 100Ah, P5,700

    Soluna,

Sorry, over a month ako hindi naglog in sa tsikot forums. Upgrading your alternator's capacity is not the solution. If your alternator's upgraded to 110amps, pero your battery is still small, the alternator will be forced to work more often because the battery needs to be recharged more often. That's the reason why magshorten ang life span ng alternator, and its usually the IC that goes first.

I will check with my local supplier (in Cebu) kung sino yung contact nila sa Manila for the compact SMF100 batteries. Check ko rin kung magkano dito. I tried to purchase one for Diesoline, pero the problem, dapat ipadala by boat, bawal pala ipa airfreight. I offered it to Diesoline before na dadalhin ko sa manila on one of my trips, bawal pala.

    tankerpipes,

if you will buy a sedona/carnival, it is better to get the park II with crdi engine. The problem with the local sedona/carnival, is the non crdi engine. Kia casa admits the J3 non crdi engine is not durable. Even those surplus importers said the same thing. But the carnival park II with crdi engine like what diesoline has, has much better feedback.

With my sedona, I checked with the Kia Casa that I traded it in. I traded it in because they couldn't fix my almost 2 year old problem with its engine. The last problem was that namamatay yung makina from a high rpm level, then pagneutral, the engine cannot hold the idling, namamatay while mobiling, and when the engine dies, all the power (steering, brakes, lights) wala! Mga gago talaga. When they sold it, the prospective buyer experienced it during the road test. Kia casa then said na ang kulang na lang na hindi nila napalitan, yung wire harness between the computer and the injection pump. Nung pinalitan nila, ayun, wala na ang problema. IDIOTS! Over a year na ginastosan ko paayos, wire harness lang pala! Isa pa ang problema ng Kia. Its not so much the car that is not durable, but more of the mechanic nila tanga. They rely too much with their laptop to tell them what's wrong. In my case, kasi nga loose contact ang wire harness, kaya pala hindi makita ng laptop ang problema, kasi di nagreregister sa laptop.

Have your rides fixed by a good mechanic, or a good shop.
