    mga sirs, hope you can help me with my problem sa carnival ko, ayaw na mag shift ng transmission ng maayos, happened only today, habang pababa kasi ako sa flyover ng edsa was doing around 60 that time and may taxi sa harap ko, and sa kalokohan nung taxi e biglang huminto just after the flyover, and yun, break ako syempre, pero pag break ko, bigla na lang kumurogkog yung carnival, btw its a 2001LS A/T, and talagang sobrang vibrate, parang nasa roung rouad na malalaki ang bato, tought mawawala sya in a while kaso hindi na, so i decided to open my windows to hear of anything unusual, wala naman and napansin ko na parang ayaw ng magshift. then diretso ko lang while kinakabahan at baka itirik ako, then decided to stop at total station after kfc sa coastal kasi may rapide dun kaso sarado na, was 1030PM, then when i started the engine again, nawala na yung vibration kaso nga lang talagang ayaw na magshift like before, have to step up to 2500rpm para mag 2nd then 3000+ na for the third and hanggang dun na lang. Fortunately, was able to make it home. i i hope na you can help me guys about this, ive been back reading the previous pages pero wala pa akong makitang naging clear solution sa ganitong problema.. thanks in advance guys and sana lahat ng problema sa carnival natin e maayos..at sana din di sobrang mahal ng paayos...

    sir bonkjonks: palagay ko yung kumurogkog ay yung ABS mo. Nagengage lang siya dahil biglang preno. Yung sa transmission naman mukhang yun na yon, kailangan ng palitan ng surplus.

    Sorry guys for the long absence.

    Yun namang sedona ko na m/t. hangang ngayon wala pa ring nakakasolve ng parang surge ng power after about 1 inch depression ng accelerator at reverse surge pag release din. Kung saan saan ko na dinala mula sa a/t experts hangang sa kasa. Okay naman ang mga c/v joints at slack ng accelerator cables. Sabi noong isa parang nag se"second power" daw, yung sa kasa naman kung ano ano ang ginawa in the end nadoon pa rin. Sabi nasa set-up daw ng front wheel big engined na diesel. dahil nakaperpendicular daw sa kotse yung engine pag nag gas daw at nag slight twist yung engine parang nagsusurge. Kaya daw yung ibang big diesel engined suv hindi ganoon dahil nakaparallel yung engine at pag nag twist hinde halata. Nakakainis lang sa highway pag release ko sa gas for slowing down napapasubsub kami ng konti tapos pag tapak mo ulit mag biglang hahatak din ng konti. Ganito din ba ang mga rides nyo.     hello guys!

    just like the author of this thread, i have to give up my jimny 4x4 for a bigger car since that my wife is now going three months pregnant. and i am planning to get a mini-van.

    i read reviews about the venture and 8 out of 10 reviews, they say that it is not good, and told me just to get a kia sedona.

    now, i heard good reviews of sedona. someone actually is selling me kia sedona, local purchased, 2002 model, all power, AT, etc . . . under 89k Kms, casa maintained.

    can you please help me with my questions:

    what problems will i encounter with the kia sedona?

    where do i get parts?

    should i have it repaired sa casa? or sa friendly neighbor mekaniko? thanks.

    sir yapoy thanks alot! i had my ride serviced today - the squeaking sound was due to loose belt (i asked the mechanic to check also the crankshaft pulley) and the starting problem is gone (for now- knock on wood hehehe, i still have to observe). nagpalit lang ng solenoid kit, i don't know if it's the same as the copper plates you mentioned. anyway, total damage is 300 pesos including labor and the 75 pesos solenoid kit.

    sayuri welcome to the thread. back read ka lang, a lot of problems have been discussed (try using the search tool and enter "problem" as key word)- from starting problem, to oil pump, timing chain and the likes. If you are in NCR, usual source is banawe (fronte, karmelcon) and pasay (goodgear). you can also order from fellow tsikoter jay castillo. their contact numbers have been mentioned several times in the thread (again just use the search tool).

    yun na nga po yung solenoid kit.. its just 2 copper plates in an L shape

    sedona is OK.. one good thing about kia carnivals have known problems with known solutions.. you just need to ask the right question..

    i suggest you have a good test drive of the vehicle..

    bro have your accelerator cables adjusted... dapat medyo batak.. wag malaki ang slack...

    also check your engine supports and replace if necessary..

    also have your injectors cleaned and calibrated..

    one possible cause of that your transmission already developed "backlash" or excessive free play.. try this test.. on a flat surface with the engine OFF, put your transmission in first gear release the foot brake.. push the vehicle back and forth, then observe for that backlash..you will notice your vehicle will move too much even the transmission is engaged..

    just control how you step on the accelerator to avoid the surge..

    hi tsikoteers, ask ko lang kung san located ang IM ng carnival? balak ko kasi baklasin at linsin DIY...pati ung throttle body....

    ung turbo din pala madali lang ba baklasin para malinis din...tnx


    also anybody knows kung san located ang speed sensor ng carnival?

    E bakit kaming lahat wala naman niyang problema na yan. yan ang sabihin mo sa nagsabi niyan.
