November 23rd, 2007 07:47 AM #2001got 3M dirt mat type of matting from makro for P495. A little undersized for the front, and multiple mats for the 2nd row. Since three rows yung ride natin, i still have those old multicolored mats na one long piece that I use for the floor on the third row.
I don't know if all Makro branches carry that matting. I got it in Makro Cebu.

Naku sayang K&N filter pa naman. Worth 4K ata yan diba?
Ako I just replaced mine using OEM worth 675php sa Wheels.
Bakit kaya nag warp ng ganyan yan? Baka nagbara then naghanap ng lusutan yung hangin kaya sa side (point of least resistance) lumusot?

I still have the original vinyl matting, and yes, it does move around a lot since it doesn't cling to the carpet underneath.
The suggestion I got 5 years ago was to apply double-adhesive velcro tape to the underside of the matting, to make it more secure. Five years later, and I still haven't gotten around to trying this idea out.

November 27th, 2007 07:11 AM #2005DBgelli: were you able to find a replacement bulb for your foglights? a few pages back i posted that one of my foglights was also not working, last weekend i finally decided to diy a replacement. i bought an h3 (but h1 will also do) and removed the metal terminals leaving just the two wires leading to the bulb itself. i cut the busted bulb from the base and soldered the new bulb. it works! just make sure to wipe the bulb clean before installing it back.

Thank you, Lord! At long last, I can finally participate in this thread. I have been reading you guys for 3 years now, waiting for this day when I can talk about my own Kia Sedonna (2004 LS). Since 2004, I have been living vicariously through all of you and to carefully learn more about this car. Thank you very much to all the gurus here who have been patient and generous with their detailed explanations with the rest of us amateurs. We bought our unit from a reseller a 450k. It was originally priced at 570k and posted in the internet. Although I spent months looking for an LS and A/T, I settled for a M/T because I was the freshest that I could find.
From all your pieces of advice, I did everything to make it new. Changed all the filter, cleansed it with high % BD, had it detailed for the interior and exterior, changed all the worn engine support, and checked all the belts. When it reaches 60,000 km (7,500 km away) I will bring it in for a PM check. The power steering was leaking and the clutch was worn. I spent 17,200 for labor and parts for the power steering repair kit, clutch disk, pressure plate and other related parts plus 3 engine supports, and a new korean version radiator grille.
I have still been spending a little here and there to make it mine and personalized. I have been loving it and taking good care of it.
However, two weeks ago, a old FX driving from the other side of Ortigas Extn. made a U-turn and crashed straight into my side. It nearly missed my door and completely damaged the sliding door and a portion of the rear fender. . . .

. . . I thought that the damaged would have been really bad. I was alone there was no passengers to be concerned about. The other driver said he lost his brakes. When they moved the FX I was glad to see the the damaged was almost isolated to the door and it was still working inspite of being deformed. It was so deformed that the panelling inside peeled of its snaps. To make things worse, since we just got the car we still do not have comprehensive insurance and the driver who hit me looked like he can barely afford a meal. When I met with the owner, he lived in a shanty. What can you do?
A new door from the casa cost 16,500 while it cost 10,000 at Good Gear. Surpluses are very, very rare.
I seemed to have lost interest in my car. I do not even have the desire to wash it now.
A few days after I tried to kick the door from the inside (after I removed the panelling, of course) to shape it back a little so, at the least, it would not protrude inside. It helped a little. I saw that it had a really stiff side impact beams with a diameter of about 1 1/2 inch. I guess, that absorbed all the impact and made the damaged minimal. The only the did not work was the lock, so I just disengaged it from the handle outside. At least, it is a comfort to know the Sedonna has this.
utakabo: I think I need your help. Can you please pm me Jay Castillos number. Maybe he can help me find a cheaper surplus door. I would also like to ask for the address of your talyer in antipolo. Thanks in advance.

November 29th, 2007 12:31 PM #2008Hi Tsikoteers,
Has anybody in this thread experienced problems with their transmissions? I have a local Carnial 2000 Model with Automatic Transmission. Kapag malamig pa ung engine ok naman ung hatak niya but when umiinit na nawawala na ung power.
After installation, ganun pa rin. Still no effect.
Baka may maitutulong kayo. Baka may alam din kayo na pwede kuhaan ng surplus parts for carnival in metro manila.
Thanks in advance.

KCarnival:
Changed my timing belt and all the tensioners and bearings last june (parts and labors amounted to 12,500) and since then ay okay na. Logged 10k kms na walang problema. Have your timing belt checked ASAP, mahirap ng maputulan at baka matuloy sa major overhaul.
Are they on track to surpass last year's sales?
