utakabo:::
Di kaya wheel alignment ang dahilan kung bakit may vibration kayo at high speeds?
Regarding the smoke, what color is it (black or white)? Also, is it constant --that is, is it present even when you're idling, or only when you're accelerating? What's the mileage on your unit, sir?
Sa Sedona ko, may black smoke pag first time ko hinataw yung van at nag-engage bigla ang turbo, pero pagkatapos nun wala na until the next day. 163,000-km na pala mileage ko. The same holds true for my 2006 CRDI Starex --brutal kasi ako pag mag-accelerate, kaya nabubulabog talaga yung anumang deposits na meron sa makina/exhaust pipe

October 25th, 2007 07:43 AM #1943actually, i've asked my mechanic already about it and he said it's normal for a diesel. hindi naman talaga usok as in smoke belching. manipis naman ang usok (black) pag idling -hardly visible, pag biglang arangkada lang kagaya pag o-overtake dun ko napapansin na merong usok na naiiwan.
praning lang siguro ako dahil first time ko magka-diesel pero sabi naman sa mga forums tungkol sa diesel na na-i-improve naman yun with bd.
hindi siguro wheel alignment dahil pinacheck ko na alignment (had it aligned immediately after buying then had the alignment checked about a month or so). hindi naman talaga violent vibration, pero i can feel it through the steering wheel, parang minamasahe lang palad ko.
about sa smoke, siguro nga ganun kagaya sa 'yo kasi pag nag-oovertake lang saka ko napapansin, pero pag smooth ang acceleration parang wala namang visible na usok. anyway had my fill up yasterday and i had added 750ml of bd so that brings the percentage to about 2%. i think i can feel the engine running smoother (could be placebo effect - obserbahan ko pa hanggang next fill up).
as for the av set-up joke lang yung 15k(obvious naman). less than 8.5K ang gastos ko talaga including the exhaust fan that installed underneath the player)

October 25th, 2007 06:54 PM #1946Kung hindi pa CRDi unit mo, normal nga lang yata na may konting usok. Kung nauusukan ka na, may mga puwede ka naman gawin (in varying degrees of cost) to reduce it like: flushing the tailpipe with a hose, carbon cleaning, and cleaning injectors. Search ka dito about these topics dahil madami ng feedback dito.

hi fellow sedona/carnival owners...
just new here and would like to ask you guys some things with regards to the sedona rs 2003.
1. what rpm ang turbo nagopen(if thats the right term, pasensya na)?
2. ano ang bulb ang pwede ipalit sa corner lights? ang naka lagay kasi is h27 and it seems walang naka alam ng ganitong bulb here in davao or i'm just asking the wrong people...
3. ilang kilometers/liter ito? medyo mahal na ang diesel these days...
4. ano driving tips ang pwede gawain to save fuel?
5. had a problem with the steering... bigla tumitigas and hinde bumabalik sa center... but now ok naman... ano kaya ang problem nun?
thanks in advance sa mga replies and pasensya na if natanong na dati at nasagot na mga questions ko kasi ang haba na ng thread na ito...

I have a 2002 Sedona RS MT TDIC with 163,000 km mileage. It still runs very well, although on its fifth year, some of the parts have begun breaking (e.g. sliding door handles, parking brake release cable, steering shaft, etc.). Had my evaporator replaced after the 4th year due to a pinhole leak that may have been caused by water-fording (as evidenced by the mud and muck the technicians found on the evaporator when I had aircon cleaned).
1. AFAIK, 2500 rpm is when the turbo engages.
2. Have to dig up my manual for this one.
3. I average 10 km/liter, mostly highway driving.
4. Same fuel economy tips that are applicable to any vehicle: step lightly on the accelerator, plan trip to minimize time stuck in traffic, follow regular PMS schedule, etc.
5. Problem with the power steering pump or steering linkages, maybe? Pa-check nyo na lang sa mekaniko kung bumalik ang problema.

thanks mikey177! read and reread ko yung manual ng sedona ko but i can't find what the bulb of the corner lights are... d pa a ko sanay sa 10km/liter! medyo gulat ako dun but malaki kasi ang engine... my previous ride was an isuzu fuego and it gave me about 15km/liter city driving... but had to get a minivan for the growing family.
Are they on track to surpass last year's sales?
