June 18th, 2007 08:53 AM #1761Guys, I am about to change tires for my Carnival LS all four.
Currently I am using Dunlop LeMans RV 501, common naman yata sa ride natin yung outer wear lalo na sa Front row wheels. Problema ko kasi sa RV501 hinde sya pwed i-flip during routing tire rotation, asymetric kasi design. Although wala akong masasabi sa performance lalo na in wet conditions, rough or smooth roads. Pati sa punctures mejo matibay din naman, ilang beses nakong napako, yung latest hex screw pa
Hope you could pitch in some suggestions, brand, price, quality and where to buy, I am from cavite.
TIA

June 18th, 2007 07:34 PM #1762Hi Mikey,
Last Week my father told me that my Kia Carnival did not start and he found that even the keyless entry is not working. They found that the battery is totally dead. It is a Motolite Gold Battery. It is better to check your battery by using multimeter tester. Sabi nung mechaniko sa akin dapat daw at least 13volts ang karga ng battery para makastart kapag less than that d daw magstart.

June 19th, 2007 10:02 AM #1764hi Guys! anyone here who has an dea of how much is the cost of having a paintless dent removal. i am seriously looking for a carnival/sedona for my family this july. one unit i saw yesterday in greenmeadows has a shallow dent in the right rear panel about the size of a football. the dent doesn't look like it's from a major collision. i am thinking how much should be factored in its selling price because of the dent. thanks.

SIrs Josiel & Bench:
Thanks to your replies guys, it was a great help. The current setting of my idling is set at 800 RPM without aircon and it falls to 500 RPM w/ aircon on and further drops if you put the shifter into "D" with your foot on the break pedal. At this setting, the engine vibrates wildly and it was quite annoying, to offset this i'm adjusting the RPM of my vehicle thru the choke knob located beside the hood release latch. I'll have the idling adjusted immediately similar to sir bench's. I assume that the idling of your car without aircon is set at about 1,000 RPM?

looks like somethings really off with your idle speed setting.
on ours, w/o aircon its at 950 rpm. barely touching the 1 thousand rpm mark.
when i put it to drive, approximately 900 rpm.

June 20th, 2007 09:01 AM #1768I have been using Yokohama Geolandar for my Carnival for almost 4 years now and I don't have any complaints, naka 2 sets na yata ako.
I've also tried Dunlops but I think the ply rating of the Geolandars are higher so mas matibay. Pricewise, they are the most affordable and the tread is suited for both highway and not-so-rough road conditions.
Stay away from Goodyar Forteras, mine did not last for a year. Parang eraser kung mapudpod.
