+1 to doc otep's entry. How silly of me to assume that there is problem already in your aircon system
The switch of the aircon eh yung button na may figure na parang sun. May light indicator naman kung naka on yun. Kung hindi naka light ang button gumamagana ang blower pero hindi siya lalamig.

The parking brake of the Sedona is foot operated, AFAIK. Just like on early Benzes and American cars.
A parking brake is required by law in most markets.

March 7th, 2007 11:14 PM #1615the sedona/carnival's aircon is not really aircon like we know it: cold, and fan. Instead, its literally fan, cold and hot mode. Yup, may heater ang aircon natin. I think its more proper to call it climate control. Make sure the thermostat is set to cool setting, not hot. 2nd, make sure naka engage yung compressor. 3rd, and this was discussed in this thread several, several pages back, sometimes ayaw lumamig ang aircon, just turn the thermostat right then back to the cold setting. I don't know why, but usually babalik yung lamig.
The sedona is foot brake, not hand brake. Sometimes, you have to ask the shop to adjust the foot brake, minsan, the car still rolls forward, so kulang ang foot brake setting.
I can't say much about the sedona AT, as I drove diesoline's ride only once and his was the CRDI AT version, while mine is the 2.9TDIC MT. The steeper the incline, the car at drive mode will still move backwards when you release the brake pedal. If your feet are not fast enough, your option is before moving the stick from park to drive mode, step on the foot brake to engage it. Then while stepping on the brake pedal, move the stick to drive mode. When you move your right foot from brake to gas pedal, use your left hand and time the release of the hand brake to release the foot brake.
Regarding inclines, just be careful. Even though our engines are powerful: 130hp or thereabouts, our ride is heaaavvvyy. Therefore, on a standstill on an uphill incline, baka kakapusin ng power. The remedy here is to step on the clutch a little to bring up the revs, then release the clutch so that the starting revs will be high to engage the turbo.

March 9th, 2007 11:09 AM #1618I had the same problem when I got my Carnival LS, luckily a neughbor of my in-laws is working as a service technician at Isuzu. He gave us a bottle of solution which is to be wiped over the cover while sanding it with a very fine abrasive. Kumintab at luminaw ulet. This did not involve removing the headlight assemply. Mabuti na lang, I failed to ask about the solution though, but ask the service guys they know it.
