February 2nd, 2007 12:24 AM #1561Hi All,
It's my first time to post in this thread , I read a lot of very informative post here. Last week I just bought a Kia Carnival 2001 model local version. But I haven't actually drive the car since I'm still out of the country. I just saw pictures and have a good friend of mine check the unit.
Best Regards to Everybody

hi peeps,
just would like to know what is the recommended glue to para madikit yung side moulds ni kia car, nagsisimula na kasing umangat. I tried yung isang brand na magic glue (yung commercial sa tv na may binaliktad na host), but it didn't work, inde rin sya dumikit. tia.

3M moulding tape (meron sa ACE Harware medyo $$$ nga lang). Don't use glue lalo na Mighty Bond type adhesives because they will mar the surface.
Meron ding cheaper moulding tape sa Concorde. Apparently it works because I used it to glue the body cladding on my Pajero 3 years ago and it's still holding.
Maganda if you 'rest' something on the lifted moulding after mo lagyan ng adhesive. Just get creative (e.g. jam a stool between moulding and garage door).

there might be different types, not sure about the model . one important thing to consider though, the ones i bought didn't have the mounting for the abs sensors, so the shop where i got it installed innovated a customized brace. sawed off the abs sensor mounting from my old shocks then fitted it using clamps to the new ones.
so if ever you would buy them, opt for those who already have the mounting as standard.

I don't know of any site that has the Carnival manual. Maybe you could try asking for a copy from one of the Kia dealerships.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Yung pinaka-importante siguro na sundin na mababasa mo sa manual ay yung proper warmup and cooldown procedures para sa makina at turbo.
Thanks for the info, sir. However, I don't think I'll have a problem with that since my unit is an RS, which doesn't come with ABS.

welcome to the carnival and sedona thread, josiel.
i have a copy of the owner's manual on CD, courtesy of altec.pm me if you want a copy.
to all the guys on this thread:
i got this link from kia-forums.com for kia's global service way, lots of tech info and troubleshooting guides for every aspect of the car in there but i don't think it is a service manual. an adobe reader is required to access the site's contents.Last edited by diesoline; February 6th, 2007 at 02:24 PM.

February 7th, 2007 03:33 PM #1570Hello to all Sedona/Carnival lovers...i bought my sedona LS Dec2003 and to be honest..i was really amazed to find out that it drives very smooth, dances with the curves of the road and to top it all..the driving comfort was way better than other SUVs and cars that was able to drive...in short sarap talaga idrive specially long distances. When i bought it, i was able to haggle for a free LCD TV, DVD, and captains chair...imagine the face of my wife when i brought it home....
My sedona's mileage now is close to 39t and i bring it sa casa every 5t...and now here is my concern...everytime i bring it to wheels Quezon Blvd near St Lukes, they tell me that i need to replace a lot of parts...the belts, wheel caps, brake pads etc...so my questions are:
1. i replaced the aircon and alternator belt once before (i think at 20t km)...and pinapapalitan nanaman...is this normal? They also wanted me to replace my back shocks (at 20t km)which i think are still ok.
2. every 5t they replace my wheelcaps..is this normal?
3. every 5t i let fix the black smoke which they charge P900 i think but after a week, the black smoke is back again...is this normal?
4. the LCD TV malfuncions easily and is repaired every 5t, just don't know what it will take for them to fix it properly...
5. for those people bringing their sedona's to this branch, do you guys experience the same thing...being tolds that you have a lot of parts to replace?
6. what is the best kia branch in terms of service?
7. has anybody tried kia near tendesitas branch?
Hope to hear feedbacks from you guys...
Are they on track to surpass last year's sales?
