An SRS light only means your SRS might potentially not deploy in a crash. It's not really dangerous. It's just like driving without SRS.
AFAIK, there is no 'air'. The gas that fills the airbag is made by an explosion of the chemical cocktail inside the steering wheel hub. Did you hear or see air actually escaping?
Most SRS service lamps are due to faulty connections and not a problem with the actual airbag in the steering wheel. However, you may need the dealer's diagnostic equipment to check the fault code and correct the error.

January 26th, 2007 07:15 AM #1552Thanks Otep for the info. Actually I did not experienced this first hand, kasi wala ako sa pinas ngayon. My father in-law told me that something popped inside the vehicle and somewhat pungent odor came out and the SRS indicator is now blinking.
I guess this thing will have to be done at Kia service center. I am just glad to know that this thing does not constitute a potential hazard while driving.

Would just like to tell something about my experience in going to GoodGear in Pasay this noon, I'm from Cainta, Rizal by the way.
I called them up twice regarding the centercap for my Carnival Park, once last Monday and once yesterday. I specifically described it as the one with the Blue circle and K written as sort of L and they confirmed they have the cap... about 15 pieces. So I went there and guess what?....They have NONE. I even mentioned the name of the guy I talked to but they said they never had a cap as the one I described.
Bad Trip!

January 27th, 2007 09:48 PM #1555Hello. Had the Carnival serviced today. Had the axle boots replaced along with a new set of brake pads. I then went to purchase new tires, the tire shop told me that my Kia mags were out of shape and needed to fixed. Cost of new tires, PHP 3,250.00 Cost of mags "repair" PHP 1,200.00 per rim. Repairing the rims sounds like a scam to me. Have any of you actually had your Kia rims repaired?

Wow, I just realized my Sedona is already 4-and-a-half years old. And the answer is "No," I've never had the rims of the Kia or any of my previous rides repaired, and I drive very spiritedly along McArthur Highway (with all its bumps and potholes) on a regular basis.
Okay, I'll check with our local Korean vehicle parts supplier in Tarlac if they have that kind of center cap in stock.

hey guys, just replaced our carnival's front shocks. used KYB Excel G's (Gas ) got it for 3.8k each * banawe. to drive it is a lot quiet and stable now.
also replaced the driver side power window switch. it costs 2.5k each * signet. opted to install it myself, bcoz casa is charging me 800 pesos for the relatively simple installation labor.
