Good Morning po Sir pobreparin and to everyone else, new member po ako. Hello to everyone! I have a kia pride sedan type, model '95. Nabili ko po siya ng second hand medyo malaki na nagagastos ko sa pagpapaayos ng mga sirang parts, ok naman siya ngayon at wala pa namang bagong sira ang lumalabas (hay salamat!) kaya lang ang lakas po niya kumain ng gasolina, when I had it cheked sa mekaniko, sabi sa akin wala daw timing kit (or something)???? kaya I always have to have the airconditioning turned on, otherwise, mas magastos sa gasulina, ano po ba ang gagawin ko? Totoo po kaya na I need that kit para maging tipid sa gas ang auto ko? and if kailangan talaga, where can i buy a cheap one and mga magkano po kaya ang estimate? Can I have your opinion about this kasi ikaw ang takbuhan when it comes to kia prides, your opinion is greatly appreciated, and kung may ibang mag pitch in salamat din po. Pasensiya na po kung dami kong tanong, first car ko kasi ito and i just want to make sure na tatagal siya at maibibigay ko pa sa anak ko paglaki niya. Thank you po!

I am not really a Guru in our ride....but if you have time, try to log-on to our website which I indicated above. We have members there that can be considered as Masters when it comes to the our rides' engine...you can
send a PM to Sir sideways, one of the gurus in terms of maintenance, trouble-shooting, upgrades..etc.....you name it, he knows it....
as for your problem....there might be 2 possible causes....
one is your carb(assuming you are still in carbs)..it might need replacement of jets, two is your idle-up switch...this one switches automatically when you turn on your aircon to increase your idling and then turns off when you turn off your aircon to also decrease your idle...

Hello Sir Pobreparin good pm. Thank you sa response, actually just had my car checked this morning and swak na swak ang sagot mo. Sabi ng mekaniko na wala palang idle-up yung auto ko, kaya malakas konsumo ng gasulina. I just need to buy the missing part which is 350 pesos then dalhin ko sa auto electrician for the wiring, then pwede nakong hindi mag aircon ng hindi tataas ang RPM niya. Thanks a lot, para sakin GURU ka talaga!
My request to join kiaprideclub was just granted today kaya i was able to check yung CD5 na for sale na sinasabi mo, kaya lang, la ako pera pa, hehehehe. Kung payag siya swap sa auto ko ok lang, ganun din naman bili ko, medyo tumaas pa halaga dahil sa mga ginastos ko pag papaayos. Dami kasi talaga problema dahil ex-taxi kasi yung sa akin, binili ko lang kasi referred ng officemate ko kaya tiwala ako, yun pala mukhang pati siya na misinform sa mga specs nung auto, ngayon tuloy I was the one who had to deal with it. Mukhang may panibagon problema nanaman kasi feeling ko hindi pantay yung chasis niya. Sinukat ko sa kamay yung clearance ng gulong sa chassis,left and right side, and hindi pantay talaga. Ewan ko ba, sa totoo lang parang gusto ko na mag give up sa auto ko kaya lang naisip ko na sayang yung binayad ko, and the fact the I just had the car for less than 2 months. Sa tingin mo Sir, may pagasa pa kaya itong mapaganda or better na ibenta ko nalang ulit? Kaya lang ang tanong pala kung may bumili pa kaya nito. Salamat po ulit ng marami. Maganda gabi po!

Sure ako na kapag nakilala mo na yung mga members dun, magbabago ang tingin mo sa ride mo....we have members who also had ex-taxi units but because of help from other club members, was able to turn their rides to showroom looks....pero siyempre, hindi biglaan ang transformation.....
yung experience mo might not be because kia pride ang nakuha mo...
common problem yung mga na-encounter mo if you purchase a second hand or third hand vehicle...unless na sobrang alaga ng previous owner...
so....wag ka mainip...and expect also na talagang laging may problema na lalabas sa ride mo....even if brand new yan, meron din prob na lalabas after some time of use....

i joined the kiaclubforum last monday pero hanggan ngayon wala pa din un approval ng member sakin.. nagtry na ko mag-register ulit using different email pero baka mag-antay din ako ng matagal.. na-doble lang un registration ko.. gano ba katagal ang approval?

Yup, I've been checking out the kia pride club website and sobrang nakaka-inspire nga talaga yung mga nag post dun. Si "ernst" yata yung nag convert ng ex-taxi to a prize winner last 2006, and yung mga engine conversion na ginagawa ni "KIADOHC", sobrang nakaka-inspire tuloy mag upgrade ng kia. Yun nga lang talagang kailangan pagipunan. Pasensiya na sir about the previous comments about my kia, medyo na-fraustrate lang talaga ako bout my ride because of the previous hassles na inabot. Pero sa tulong mo I was able to understand more bout my ride, at hindi pala ito ang katapusan niya, na meron pala siyang solusyon pa!

Maraming salamat po for responding to my questions, I really appreciate it, siguro the next time na magusap tayo eh sa thread ng kia pride club na. Salamat po ng marami Guru Pobreparin!
