actually style ng kia for price protection. sort of brainwashing na din once sorentos arrive here 1.595M na talaga. but still offered cheap abroad. wala eh ibang klase tlaga mag-isip ang filipino counterparts. sa ibang nationality, halos magmakaawa ang kia para makarami.

dito hindi pa nga madami kia, pinapalabas kagad ng prestiguous as is the price. ewan ko ba, pero ang dali ko naman basahin ang schemes nila.

    For example:

    Sorento 4x2 Crdi
    Introductory Price = 1.595M
    Discount = 300K
    Pre-selling Price = 1.295M

Less 300k agad sa price if you reserve now, and the 300k reservation fee is deductible pa from the pre-selling price.. so lalabas na 995K na lang ang balance mo... Anyway, refundable naman siya in 6months if the unit is not delivered eh, nothing to lose. Kapag nilagay mo sa bank ang 300k mo hindi naman yun mag-eearn ng 300k din. And besides, parang Kia lang ang nagbibigay ng ganyan kalaking discount. In my opinion lang po

    guys is this true?

so it means that Sorento 4x2 Crdi
    no 300k DP = 1.595m then
    with 300k DP = 1.295m

    to be exact...
without 300K DP, SRP is 1.595M
with 300K DP, SRP is 1.295M but final SRP is 995K since the 300 DP will be deducted to SRP as 1.295M.

so sa promo nila panalo ka na for that price 995K for a mid size SUV with the latest CRDI technology...

Try comparing the 1.295M price versus hmm, let say the 1.380M Mitsubishi Montero, Toyota Fortuner 2.5G Diesel, or even the new Hyundai Sta Fe * 1.558.. Seems pretty fair to me.. it (Kia Sorento) even has certain advantages over them both price and specs..

Yun ang di ko maintindihan with Columbian. The list price of the units are way overboard then they will offer huge discounts to make the price more competitive and make it cheaper than the competitors.

Why not do away with the discounts? Offer the most affordable price taking into consideration their profit margin to sell more units? Dami natuturnoff na potential buyers because of the list price - "ay ang mahal pala... mas mahal pa sa <insert direct premium competitor here>". I for one was turned off by the list price but bought a Kia unit because of the "discount" upon talking with an agent. Eh kung di ako nagtanong eh di walang benta... diba?

ang dami daw kasi kuripot ngaun mamimili. puro best value for money na all-in ang hanap. so ang style, taasan ng sobrang kataastaas tapos biglang discount

say for example, an entry level fort or montero is priced at 1.3M+

tapos nakakuha ka ng kia sorento at 1.295M. lumalabas mas mura ang sorento pero 5 seater heheh

Have you considered resale value and brand respect?
