June 1st, 2015 06:34 PM #274Hi KIA Soul Owners and Soon to be Owners,
We will be getting our KIA Soul Newport Blue, LX this June 06 at KIA Global City. The first choice was actually acid green and inferno red, but due to scarcity of available unit/s we settled for Newport Blue. This will be for wifey. Went there last Sat. for a test drive and wifey was very much happy. Wifey's current ride was Hyundai i20 got August last year, but found already slow and ground clearance too low especially when she's going out with our kids.
Prior to KIA Soul, our choices were the Ecosport and the soon to be released Hyundai i20 cross sport. We were actually about to test drive the Ecosport also last sat., but it was just by an accident that I saw the Top Gear post on FB, thus, went through all the sites and ended with this KIA Soul Gen 2 Promo. And before we knew it we were already schedulling a test drive at KIA Global City instead, which was the one that materializes. We have also considered the soon to be released Mazda CX3 and Honda HRV, but I understand said models will be equipped only with gasoline engines and not yet readily available in the market.
Many thanks for this thread for all the valuable posts especially to rca120808 who posted with lots of excitement and enthusiasm in their driving experiences with their new ride. Even at this early, we already contacted ParakitoJDM for the audio and cruise control, rear view display and backing camera, and fog lights. It is nice that there is already an upgrade guru for the KIA Soul.
It was not actually a love at first sight story as I have personally liked KIA Soul when KIA first released the model in the Philippines way back in year 2009 or 2010 (if I am not mistaken) primarily because of the car's unconventional design and proportions, but was small for us that time for a family car.
Good luck to all KIA Soul owners and soon to be owners.
Cheers!
Thanks/best regards.

June 1st, 2015 09:22 PM #277Congratulations sir on your new ride. Kidding aside, sarap drive yun soul. Iba yun driving dynamics nya compared sa korean couterpart nya sa hyundai. Naka drive nko ng accent crdi, matrix, and starex. Kia soul is very easy to drive (literal! Sa comfort setting pwede mo steer yun manibela using only your pinky). Long trips sa expressway with cruise control. Sobrang relax! Sa fb meron na club para sa soul and sa june 20 ata first meetup ng club.

June 2nd, 2015 12:37 PM #278Hi RCA120808,
Masusubukan ko si Soul pag pick-up namin hopefully this June 06. Ako muna raw magmaneho pauwi sa bahay. For sure, hihiramin ko itong si Soul from time to time dahil mukhang masarap din sigurong manehohin because of the CRDi engine. Maliban sa kakaiba na design at roominess ng Soul yung deal breaker is the CRDi engine and the 6-speed A/T with manumatic/sportronic function.
Thanks/regards.

June 2nd, 2015 03:41 PM #280Hi RCA120808,
Okay, copy on this.
Thanks/regards.
