civic front + outlander front + acura mdx body + x6 lower bumper part nakikita ko

sana lang yung interiors niya eh kasing ganda ng katawan niya. yung tipong more out of the previous spyshots of the interior kasi mukang bitin kagandahan nung naunang interior shots

is it a 7 seater? will kia ph bring it here with a diesel variant?

its just a slightly improved Hyundai Sante Fe-II, nothing really ground breaking. and no surprise there as its based on that vehicle. awaiting test drive report though for the power and economy of the R-series diesel....

I'm sure it's gonna be fantastic, better than the SFII of course because this has 200hp, a tsunami of torque and the new 6-speed box.

2.2L lang yan, detuned pa. hehe.

    Assuming this is 2tons, that's 100hp/ton.

I like the panoramic roof. Ganda din ng dash gauges. Mabilis siguro yong 3.8L, 270 hp variant ng Sorento. Baka umabot sa 300KPH max speed nito

You need to get an aftermarket speedo. 240 would be easily achieved in this thing.
sa SF pa lang with 150hp and 5-speed AT, 200kmh arrives at 3,500rpm. eto 200hp tapos may sixth gear pa.

Then imagine if you get aftermarket engine tuning.... I think 250hp isn't far fetched. hehe.

well it depends on how the torque curve and gearing is tuned. bigger number doesn't always mean good. it has to have power / torque way down low the REV range & good throttle response. torque wise, its same
as the newly launched Mazda6 in the UK with 400N-m torque, but at slightly
lower horsepower of 185hp. i think if Mazda allowed more boost in the upper REV that 15hp deficit of 200hp could be easily achieved.

i would say its in a very high-state of tune already. but of course as responsible car manufacturers, they would have to give it a bit of design margin for those power hungry people who would further increase boost in the name of power.

well its not really that a big of a deal. i had my Civic ESi with 120hp and it was 1ton in weight and i couldn't say it was a pocket rocket. but what matters is the Torque to weight ratio that should get this baby running rings around perhaps the 3.0 D4D Fortuner and 3.2 Did Montero Sport.

anyway its launch is April in Korea... this could appear as early as 4Q2009 in the Philippines or maybe 1Q2010...

Good luck with Mazda selling that here. With the dismal sales of their current line locally, that's a long shot.

Also this one has 435Nm on spec paper (from the original 461Nm based on R-Engine white paper). That's not the same as the 185hp/400Nm of Mazda which seems to be its max output since it has different variants based on the same block.

SF, with its VGT, delivers full torque at 1700rpm, this being an improved version (EVGT), IIRC, delivers its full torque at ~1300rpm.

Not really, the stock design is 215ps/461Nm so im expecting they'd retune this to 220hp (if not stick with the stock) for the Santa Fe edition while stilll allowing a huge room for aftermarket tuning (50 to 80+ hp).

It would be quite weird if Hyundai wouldn't up the power on this because KIA is their subsidiary and it would kill the SF sales if they'd have the same power ratings because practical people would pick the KIA having the same platform as the Hyundai (SF) edition.

Yeah but CRDI-EVGT is totally different from an N/A petrol engine. You wouldn't have been astounded despite it being lighter because a petrol engine is practically torqueless compared to this.

    3.0/3.2 vs a 2.2L? Quite weird isn't it?

I expect this to be here Q3-2009. When 2007 SF was launched back in Q2-2006, we were able to get a unit by Q3 of the same year.

BTW, Quarter of the year is often written either Q1 /Q2 or 1st Quarter / 2nd Quarter and so on...

    It's totally jumbled now. hehe.

At any case, let's just wait for the Sorento XM to arrive.

    BMW 320d is 2.0 177hp btw. 123d is 2.0 201hp Dual VGT.
