2007 Kia Carens [ARCHIVE]

Just an update, gang: I returned my Carens to Kia Pasig the other day for the few remaining minor repairs (repainting of a few panels, adjustment of aircon vents, etc). Hopefully, I'll get it back by Tuesday next week. Tapos, I already ordered leatherette seatcovers for it. Will also change the tint to a darker shade, have the window rain guards re-attached (some were loose already) and I bought new floormats. I'll try to post some pics after all of these changes.

Mine is 2 years na din and on 35k km already. Battery is still good except for the aircon. need to go to wheels for check up this coming thursday.

Oo nga e pero pagnaiwan ko sa init ng araw yun kotse para kang niluluto sa loob e. ayaw lumamig ng aircon.kaya papacheck ko ulit.

Saan ka magpapagawa ng "leatherette" seat covers mo? Sa Kia Pasig din ba? Gusto ko kasing magpalagay pero nag-aalanganin ako kung maganda ba talaga, o kaya e palagyan ko na lang ng magandang cloth type seat covers na mas makapal sa binigay ng kia.

Sobrang dumi na kasi ng mga stain ang original seat ko dahil walang scotchguard yung binigay sa atin ng Kia..

Ordered the seatcovers from Sureseats in Alabang Town Center bro. I'll post pics once they're installed. I really needed to order kasi Kia lost my original cloth seatcovers.

Nakuha mo na ba ang seat covers mo? Maganda siguro ano? Anong kulay ba ang Carens mo? Ang sa kin kasi e Red, kaya gusto kong kunin ang black and red na seat covers. Black sa paligid at red ang insert na may Kia Logo. Sana yung logo ng Carens, pero wala sila eh!!..

Magkano mo nga pala nakuha ang seat covers mo? Pics naman kung naka-install na.

*joshua ching, try mo sa seatmate along marcos hiway near AMA. I had mine done there. If I remember correctly 7500php. Take note kung vulcanized yung foam sa leatherette. yung cheaper options kasi e loose yung foam. Sa goldrich banawe 6-6500k lang ata pero ito yung loose yung foam underneath.

Medyo napamahal ako ng kaunti, P9000, sa SEAT-PRO sa Tomas Morato sa Kamuning. Sa Banawe ang main office nila. Pero sa palagay ko e sulit naman dahil top of the line yung leatherette na ginamit, saka fit na fit ang pagkakagawa...wala akong reklamo. May logo ng Kia sa gitna ng seat - sa baba ng headrest. Naka-tuck in ng mahusay lahat at parang semi-permanent ang pagkakagawa. Two years ang warranty agains tear-off, at saka loose threads at seams. Panay Merz at BMW ang naka-line up sa talyer ng dumating ako at saka expedition. Meron ding dumating na isang Carens, pero kumuha lang ng estimate. Maganda sana kung full-upholstery ng talagang leather ang ginamit pero mahal, kasi yun ang nakita kong ginagawa sa mga Merz at BMW doon, may isa pang Bentley.

Tagal ko na din gustong magpa leatherette seat cover kaso walang magandang shop sa bacolod, kailangan kong mag order sa manila then papadala sa bacolod, problem ko lng is what if kng indi fit? unlike kng sa shop mismo ikakabit, pag may kailangan palitan, ay magagawa nila agad.
