May nakasabay ako sa carwash sa marikina na carens na taxi and i talked with the driver, sabi nya the operator has 10 units of carens taxi. and yes they are the gas versions. taas nga daw ng boundary nya magastos pa sa gas.. pero lamang daw sya sa pilahan.. sya daw palagi pinipili ng mga sumasakay..

Siguro strategy na din nung operator. Kumbaga stand out na taxi ang gusto nya.
Pero agree ako sa opinion niyo. May money to burn ika nga yung operator. Baka taxi company ito. Kung gas version ito, hindi talaga practical. Imagine mo 2.0 liter na taxi?
It will work for both sides for us Carens owners - pag dumami ang Carens taxi sa daan, dadami din piyesa. At the same time, mababawasan din yung 'prestige' of ownership natin.
Hope wala pang ganito sa Baguio. Karaniwang taxi dito eh mga avanza j.

After my 45,000 kms. PMS, my KarenPot became sluggish. Ayaw humataw kahit naka-floor na yung gas pedal. Hindi nga umakyat yung speed nya over 80 kph.
I brought her back to Kia Fairview. After some computer diagnosis, they found the culprit - a cracked hose to the turbo. They cut off the cracked portion, reinstalled the hose, and my KarenPot is again okay. Pwede ng ihataw ulit.

Hi guys,
Kamusta na? It's been a long time since I posted here...
Unfortunately, my Carens was a victim of Ondoy last Sept 26... Water went up to midlevel of the Carens and I had to have it towed to the casa (it was towed about a week later due to the long lines for tow trucks)... immediately upon getting it, Kia Pasig already did the basic repairs - drying, cleaning, etc just to prevent any further damage that may be caused by the stagnant water inside.
Fortunately, my insurance includes acts of God.... kaso, ang tagal i-approve ng insurance company yung claim ko - I'm assuming this is because the repair estimate made by Kia totaled a whopping P560K!! Basically, they're recommending the replacement of a bunch of parts. They don't recommend simply repairing (or cleaning) them because there might remain some hidden defects that they can't guarantee against. In other words, my warranty will be voided if those parts aren't replaced....
Our insurance manager (I got this through my company's car plan) is hinting at the insurance company to simply declare it as a total loss because of the high repair estimate. Kaso, I'm kinda on the fence on this. Since I got this through my company, I got a good discount on it at the time I got it. Tapos, the prices were still relatively low then. So, even if I do get the face value of my insurance policy now, it won't be nearly enough to purchase a brand new Carens EX CRDi A/T. Argh....
Wala lang, I'm just voicing out because I miss my Carens...

November 10th, 2009 02:40 PM #3530ser "j-avonni", dba kaya cla naka-sira nun? i had a somewhat related problem in my DIY intercooler install to my other ride - Toyota Hilux....nabunot yung hose sa intercooler....then ayun....bbhuuush...no turbo boost. very low power.....
BTW, puede mo ser ma picturan kung aling hose? and how did the crack looked like? glad ur enjoying your power again. haha.
ser mqavila,
i feel for your pain, mahirap nga panahon ngayon dahil sobra dami affected and Kia prices went on unexplainable / unreasonable up-trend... sana maayos na lang ng mahusay...
They probably sold so few cars last year that even a 112% increase still hardly makes a change in...
