I had this setup before with my crosswind, same gutterless mount, thule foot racks etc....kinalawang yung upper door frame.
Buti na lang naibenta ko na. Better ung may built-in roof racks, then just buy the crossbars and carrier/bikecarrier. Although 25-30kgs lang ata ang max recommended weight for this built-in roof racks.
While the gutter/gutterless mounts can exceed 100kgs of weight.
    Looks great, but merong limitations.

    just my 2cents.
Hello! thanks for the observation. I appreciate it. I did ponder the potential problems a set-up like this would cause and this delayed my purchase for about 4 months. After examining the Thule set and the car door frames, I believed the problems would be minimal because: 1. The Thule set was all rubber lined and coated in the places where it touched the vehicle; 2. The crimping of the rubber door moldings was very small and so the water seepage is small; 3. The molding itself consisted of two lines with a channel in between. The water that seeped through the first line would be caught by the channel and flow down and out with no possibility of penetrating the second rubber line; 4. The set up is specific for the Carens and not an adaptation from another vehicle; 5. Only the AT version have rails and I prefer MT; and 6. I really need a basket to carry stuff. (lol)

May I know what kind of paint the crosswind had? (acrylic, polyurethane,etc...) It may explain why it rusted. thanks again for the input.

The palstic wheel covers melted, particularly the slots for the lug nuts. Hope this is an isolated case and I do hope covered ng warranty. I left the car with KIA Iloilo, still waiting for the cause of the locked fornt brakes.
Sir wayward I beleive ang sira ng car mo e sa calipers ng disc brake mo. ayaw siyang bumitaw so lagi lock ang brakes mo. baka nabaha ka before and pinasok ang caliper ng unit mo. Hindi ba nachecheck ng kia yan whenever nagpapapms ka??? when was the last time nagpapms ka?

beats me too sir schumi naka indicate naman sa receipt each time i have my PMS na checked/cleaned brakes
hindi po nabaha ang car...after a day without my dear carens binalik nila ok na daw, cleaning lang and they drained d brake fluid, paid P1,260.00. To my surpise, naglock na naman! darn! this time all the four wheels na! hayun, nagalit na ako at binalik na naman sa KIA Iloilo, after a day of tinkering, they need to replace the whole brake master daw. Good thing covered naman daw ng warranty. Now what made me blew my top again is they put some kind of adhesive sa brake master for a temporary fix daw pending arrival of the replacement. sabi ko, are you guys serious??! you will make my life depend on an adhesive?! did I hear you right?! preno to mga sir, its a vital safety component of every car. They will provide a replacement car na lng daw..will have to go to kia later kng meron na service unit...rant over hehehe

Hindi kasi natin nababantayan mabuti yung ginagawa every PMS..I dunno why they have to do (the jobs and everything) it without the owner viewing it.

Kahit ba super adhesive or extra strength pa yan, I will not gamble my life with it.

Good thing inassert mo right mo sir...

Sa tingin ko dapat di mo binayaran yung P1,260 kasi this is a definitely a warranty job.

Kung minsan, you are at their mercy ... hehehehe
