Yung pang dmax nga. Kala ko 4jh1 dmax. Mura lang ba 4hh1? Ano pa murang options sa engine swap? Parang malakas kasi sa diesel ang 4jg2.

Mahal at madalang ang 4hh1. Matipid, maingay at electronic engine na ito. Alam mo naman pag electronic pati injection pump, may ECU. Its not the same as ordinary engine.

mahal pala. Someone offered me a 2001 4jx1 again at P400k. Naisip ko kasi kung mara lang naman ung surplus dmax engine pwede na mag swap matipid naman. Pero kung mahal pala. Back to the search for a 99. Parating walang ads ng 99 sa bulletin. Ano pa ba diect injection na matipid at mura na pwede pumasok sa trooper? Ano po ba engine ng Rodeo, Mu or Wizard?

mga peeps query lang, slightly off topic sa orig TS subject pero might be worth posting dito. sa dami kasi ng nabasa kong thread dito about the "notorious" jx1 power plant ng '03 trooper, wala pa akong nabasa na nagconfirm ng successful transplant to a 4jg2. so curious din talaga ako kung ano ang result, if may nakapagtransplant na into 4jg2, i.e., ano ang naging impact sa performance ng trooper assuming na nasanay ka na sa "power" and FC ng jx1 engine.
follow up questions:
1. kung i-retain yung tranny ng jx1 and just swap the engine to jg2, ubra kaya? again, any performance results? what's the prevailing costs now, engine + tranny, at kung engine lang?
2. instead na jg2 ang ipalit what if v6 ang itransplant? mas kumplikado ba? i know mahal ang gas pero i'm looking at an equal or more powerful engine para hindi sya maging sluggish compared to downgrading to jg2. kung v6 engine lang swak kaya sa orig jx1 tranny? how much will a surplus v6 cost? may surplus ba nito?
3. any other diesel engine na pwede ipalit other than jg2 na reliable at swak sa engine bay and mounts?

reason for asking is type ko yung dating ng trooper pero seems too much to bear yung jx1 issues so if ever kumuha ako ng local trooper at a good price & bumigay ang makina, transplant ko agad pra tapos ang prublema, as in isang gastusan na. aside from the engine kasi e lumalabas flying colors ang rating ng trooper.
