Kung gusto mo talaga ng mabilis, as suggested by bro hinDMaxsiado subukan mo magpa-alcohol injection. Tweaking the boost of the turbo should do much to increase the power already and you should already be able to keep those 3.0D4D Fortuners at bay . O kaya yung Ralliart mags ng FM Pajero, or anything like it, OK rin. Tapus kapag nagasgasan... aray! Yung brushed alloy na medyo offroad design with 265/70/R16 tires OK na. The wider track should also make for somewhat better handling and stability. Para sa akin baduy yung mga lubos lubos na paglalagay ng chrome fittings like dun sa headlights, tailights, at kung saan saan pa man. I'd like a pickup to look rugged, not overly trying to be pseudo luxurious.

The best place to tune the engine is definitely Speedlab, but if you find their charge too expensive, I'm sure many shops in Banawe are selling K&N aftermarket filters. There are also lots of shops wherein you might be able to trade in your mags for another set of 2nd hand better looking ones for a low price. Then the more sensitive parts you can do do at Speedlab.

I have no plans on making the mags bigger. Gusto ko sana pachrome nalang then new set of H/T tires.

Mas gaganda pa ng kaunti ang takbo kapag naka-Petron Turbo Diesel ka (most probably, also sa Shell V-Power Diesel) due to the 55-cetane rating.

Puede ka rin magtanong sa "Isuzu DMax Club of the Philippines" sa Facebook for other sources.

    Good luck sir!

Maybe later this month na ako magsstart. Will try to post pics soon.

If the DTS chip (made in UK) works fine for our 4JH1-TC, as they say, get it sir ....Mga PhP35k including dyno-tuning.

In the meantime, kuha nalang ako RaceChip Pro (made in Germany) for the 4JJ1-TC 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ, as it cost only PhP25k and installation is free within Metro Manila. It is cheaper than the Unichip and the DTS. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the 4JH1-TC 3.0 TD Intercooler engine.

As for the 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ, looking into the gains based on each of their own websites, i.e. DTS Philippines and RaceChip Germany sites, the publsihed gains are as follows:

    1. RaceChip Pro - power increased to 190 ps and torque to 382 Nm

(Figures on the RaceChip pro are based on the standard-model Isuzu MU-7 of the Thais that shares the same Ddi-iTEQ engine with the Philippine-DMax. There is a premium-model MU-7, on the other hand, and it utilises the iTEQ VGS Turbo engine.)

    2. DTS - power increased to 190 ps and torque to 360 Nm

i just don't know how the power and torque curves though look like, or how they are distributed along the rev range, for each of these two different tuning chips, which actually, i'm more interested at. Perhaps the only way to know is to have Speedlab Racing dyno-read the gains after having either of those mods. Though these chips aren't the Unichip by the way, but still no problem with Speedlab to do the reading. Dyno-reading at Speedlab, i believe, cost around PhP2,000.

    Good luck sir!

.... and when you so decide to slap on this DTS chip, share your experience in hinDMaxsiado's thread here: http://tsikot.com/forums/isuzu-cars-...-better-82653/

    Thanks Boss Benz.

Will post results once i got the RaceChip Pro installed, on condition though ---- i just hope that Speedlab Racing (since they're identified as Unichip carrier) would be ok to dyno the DMax in a set-up wherein we could do a "before and after" dyno-reading as this chip is plug-and-play. This is the only way i could show real numbers in wheel-hp.

On other topic, how much would a used or 2nd-hand 2005 Trooper 4JX1 cost these days?

    Thanks for the advice.

    Kind regards.
