That's sad to hear. It may have been better if you just had your headlamps cleaned. With the pics you posted with the HIDs, it may have improved after the clean.
Just the same, we'd be interested to see photos of how your "hoped-to-be-refurbed" headlamps turned out.

i had my heads cleaned up... in addition... its a bit difficult to remove the glass covers of the heads especially the sealed type versions... knowing its bit fragile cause its glass even if its thick.... i am satisfied with the output of the HID with frosted heads.. its clear namn... and it is still projecting great focus and quality of "beam" the only difference that i noticed between frosted and clear heads is the shape of the beam.... you can see talga ung 2 cones of beams when you are using clear heads and a bigger cone (some say its "sabog/kalat")on frosted.... "take note... in my observation lng ha.. baka mali din ako.. hehe" mag popost po ako... pag uwi na pag uwi ko sa manila...

Bro its better to do retrofit the headlight with projector light kung clear lens na yung headlight ng trooper mo. Hinihintay ko lang spare kong headlight from US. Garyq will do it for me to do it clear and retrofit with projector light. I will post here after our project is done.

I have made a similar post in another thread here. These are Bighorn options in Japan. This would be a better alternative than risk your OEM headlamps. As you may know, headlights are factory sealed (lens) and may result to moisture.

bro nakita ko na yan. Yung project namin ni gary actually kayang kaya niyang gawan ng clear lens ang headlight ng trooper as in as OEM ang labas. He knows already what is good iretrofit niya ng projector as OEM medyo high end at pricey lang pero sulit. I have already bought a pair headlight sa US paship na hinihintay ko nalang. this is a good project and I want this to have it. Eto pala ang ikakabit niya sa headlight ng trooper http://store.theretrofitsource.com/p...7051f1915f8a03
once naclear lens na niya.
Ayos sumabay pa sa Greenbelt 1.
