Yup..ok na ok yan LS pick up or might say TFR series. Yan ang present car namin, have it since 1998 as second hand car,1st owner as company car, ginamit nila for 2 years then nabenta sa amin,so far wala akong naging major problem lalo na sa suspension, almost 10 yrs. bago ako nakapagpalit. Ngayon base sa estimate ko,ang odo nya is almost 300k na and still doing fine. This year im planning to overhaul my transmission, ever since di pa rin ako nakapagpalit...clutch repair kit pa lang. Calibrated once dahil sa leak, never naging mausok. Thanks guys

I too can attest to the durability of these LS pickups. Got a '96 TFR w/ the 4jb1-t engine. No major repairs 'til now aside from having the inject. pump calibrated 5 years ago...though she's not on her glory days anymore, she is still very much alive and kicking! She has 232k on her odo and is purely stock. Consumption is at 9km/L and 12-13km/L on long trips. Id say she's for keeps.

*DieselDI -- sir, why not just have it repaired and repainted? i've seen good paint/body jobs on one of the abundant bodyshops in marikina...

*blue_gambit -- sir, going price for the 4x2 should range from 200k-260k depending on the mileage and how well the rig has been maintained; i would say you can also find a 4x4 along that range, maybe just add up 20-30k on the ceiling

its torqy enough to get you through your daily low end driving but you need a really big allowance when over taking on those 2 way single lane provincial roads as it is sluggish on the high end.

    Beetols,
200+ na pala tinakbo ng TFR mo. Ang ganda pa, parang 20tkms palang...hehe naks!

But seriously, this model is one of the best. Non-computerized, easy maintenance and reliable as ever rig!

Buhay pa pala itong thread na ito. I was the one who started this thread almost 2 years ago. My TFR is almost 105k na sa odometer. Quite low ang mileage for his age pero it shows sa interiors nya na hindi masyado nagamit kasi sariwa pa lahat inside. It never disappointed me up to now, ginawang panglipat bahay, been to baguio, zambales, nueva ecija, etc, parating nahihiram pangkarga ng ref at big stuff, panghatid sa pier, airport, pang kampanya during election.

I got mine na medyo lifted na at big tires. I feel very secure kapag ito ang dala ko. I love it especially kapag mabigat ang dala ko kasi it rides like a limo.

Had it calibrated because of leak. I once considered selling it but it pains me whenever i think it's quite a hassle-free ride.

    Hi Beetols,
