Hello! mga sir help naman. newbie here. Somebodys selling me his 96 Isuzu LS Pick Up, all power na model. asking price nya is 250k.

i did a road test and maganda pa rin performance ng engine, cool aircon pa rin and mukhang tight pa rin katawan nya. konting2x kalampag lang.

at 181k mileage and sa age nya, expected na rin siguro na yung mga dents and paint needs a washover. may mga maliliit na rin na kalawang sa frame ng window and also sa lower fender.

nung tingnan ko makina, pagkuha ko ng dipstick may lumalabas na usok. binuksan ko pati yung oil filler cap medyo malakas ang usok and also may konting oil na lumalabas. malaking problem ba to?in fairness, pag roadtest ko malakas pa rin power nya.

ive already ask opinions of friends knowledgeable to diesel engines and iba2x ang opinion nila. merong ng suggest na piston ring lang ang sira nyan na pwede ma remedyuhang dukutin lang. meron din ng suggest to the extreme na it seems d na talaga roadworthy yung sasakyan.

    tanong ko now are these:
    a) ano ba possible problem ng engine? and how much kaya ispare ko for the repair of the engine if ever i decide to buy the pick up?

    b) fair price na ba ito at 250k considering d na maganda yung paint and may konting kalawang na yung body plus the fact na medyo may sira na yung engine? if not then how much ihaggle ko sa price nya?

guys i hope you can help me on this before i decide to get this pick up or not. ok na sana sakin to if not lang sa engine problem nya.

    thanks i advance mga bossing!

meron kaming pick up na LS

Surely, there may be some LS models that are "fresher" but since you mentioned that you're working on a budget, that limits your option.

Given that fact, you choose the lesser evil. Buying another (cheaper) pick-up brand does not make your situation any better. We know how ISUZU pick-up perform.... reliable and durable. I'd say you're "safer" getting this given your situation. As the guys have suggested, bring a trusted mechanic so as you'd know the amount of work the truck would require.

Always remember, pick-up as no sissy vehicle.... they are intentionally made to be used and be abused. So seeing one with minimal work required would be a "steal".

Good luck and let us know for any developments.
