Subukan mo ipa compression test. Hanap ka ng shop na may compression tester para malaman kung ok pa ang compression. Ang resulta mag sasabi kung kailangan top overhaul or/& piston overhaul ang gagawin.

Gud evening po mga bossing..Ask ko lang po sana kung meron po sa inyo naka experience regarding car alarm po..Kasi po ung alarm po na sasakyan ko e nag a alarm kahit naka lock na po siya....nag try kong e open at isara ung mga pinto pero nung ni lock ko ung mga pinto(Thru remote)...after few minutes(about 2-3 minutes)..nag aalarm siya.at napansin ko rin na after pressing the lock button sa remote,,saglit lang, mag aalarm ulit..

..ano kaya problema kaya mga sir.

..pa share naman kung naka experience na po kayo ng ganito...TIA...God bless.....

Sir check mo po yung electrical wirings specially yung sa may mga door kasi yung sakin sa tagal na, nagcrack na yung isang wire at dumidikit yung naexpose nawire sa pinto kaya grounded at nagaalarm na lang sya.

Sir na solve na ung problem ko about alarm....pina check ko sa shop na nag iinstall ng alarm and only to find out na naka off daw kasi ung switch sa dome light na sasakyan kaya nag aalarm kahit naka lock na mga door...dapat daw naka switch on sa door ung dome light kasi naka connect kasi sa alarm ng sasakyan....

Bumili ako kanina ng shocks para sa likod ng hi-lander... the labels says for Hi-lander and Crosswind.. So ibig sabihin pareho lang ride ng hi-lander naten at crosswind? hehehe

hi ...

i am very glad that i have bumped into this isuzu forum after searching the net for spare parts recommendations.

i have a 98 isuzu sl hilander .... i got it second hand 1 year ago

lately i experienced overheating problem with the engine ... i checked it out with a local mechanic and made a top overhaul

discovered that the gasket and cylinder liners need replacement ... as for the cyliner liner, i only noticed that only 2 cylinder liners have problems but auto supply shops offer them in sets of 4... bummer ... price for a set with brand federal is at 4000 pesos but with brand isumi its 8500 ... all brand new ... should i buy the cheapest?... should there be any problems choosing the federal brand?

KYB liquid type lang, yun ang orig na naka kabit... I've used KYB sa front ok naman no problems so far. Just dont know if its the OEM, didn't bother looking for the brand ng OEM eh.

*citizenjdc, sa pag kaka alam ko meron OEM Isuzu overhauling kit, in your shoes I'd get this i-regardless of price. I've heard horror stories of overhauls not using OEM Kkits and most go back to OEM incurring double the cost. IMHO.

don't get me wrong di ako fanatic ng OEM pero pag ganyan Replacement parts or kits aren't worth it... Federal Mogul ang brand ng water pumps ko, but I'd still stick to OEM isuzu overhauling kits + the Best machine shop you can find.

May naka-experience na ba magpacalibrate ng Hilander dito? Ano ba ginagawa nun? ano effect and ginagalaw ba pati valve nun? ang sa akin kasi ang laki ng fuel consumption and lahat ng suggestion leads to calibration, gusto ko lang may idea ako before ako magpacalibrate. TIA.

well saken biglang nag shut-down yung makina while driving... ginagawa? calibrate it back to manufacturers standard.. buti pa PM mo si dieseldude.. taga central diesel calibration yun dyan sa quezon ave. para malinawan ka bro..
