March 2nd, 2011 12:59 AM #1021Thnx bro. Nasubukan mo na ba around 40psi? naka-indicate kasi sa gulong up to 65psi max.

If you don't mind bakit top-overhaul ang ginawa sa makina mo anu ba naging sira?

March 2nd, 2011 09:20 AM #1024Hindi pa po nakaranas palit ng oil cooler yang makina? Yan ang sakit ng OEM oil cooler from thailand. Na experience ko yang problem. Naipost ko dito somewhere in isuzu thread.
I suggest bili ka ng oil cooler at palitan. Oil cooler yan mismong pinapatungan/kinakabitan ng oil filter. Maybe 4K or a little more ang price just my guess.

March 2nd, 2011 09:24 AM #1025*blue_gambit,

March 2nd, 2011 09:30 AM #1026*weisshorn,
Thnx for the reply.
Last edited by ronball; March 2nd, 2011 at 09:33 AM. Reason: update

Oil in the water or vice-versa usually means a busted head gasket. Are you overheating? Change the head gasket first if budget is limited. Hopefully, that fixes that - or at least lessen the problem. If not, save up for an overhaul.

March 2nd, 2011 10:10 AM #1028After all the works done to your engine I'm pretty sure that the oil cooler is the culprit. I've been in that situation before. First I suspect head gasket so I pulled out the cylinder head. Nothing found there. next I pulled out the oil cooler. done hydro-test. at first I cannot see any significant leak but after about 20 mins that the cooler is submerged in the water I've seen one small bubble, yes only one bubble. That's time that I conclude that the oil cooler is leaky. Yes only one bubble but when the engine is running and temperature is hot this leak will be stronger. After changing this cooler the problem was fixed. This was several years ago. If you care to back read/search you will find my early post. Good luck.
By the way all were DIY.
If there's crack in the water jacket, cylinder head or any parts adjacent to the combustion chamber this will result to combustion leak going to the water side. You will smell combustion leak in the radiator and observe water bubbles. Amoy usok po yan. Also this will give white smoke out of the tail pipe. In the absence of this means leakage is somewhere else.Last edited by weisshorn; March 2nd, 2011 at 10:23 AM.

Thanks for the reply. I had it top over-hauled, replaced the head gasket. Please keep the experts opinions coming. Thanks in advance
By the way I didn't experience overheating kasi I regularly fill up my radiator especially on long trips.Last edited by ronball; March 2nd, 2011 at 10:17 AM. Reason: update

I was asking why the need for top overhaul. Does it burn oil? nag babawas ba ng oil? over heat? loss of power? loose compression? before it was overhauled by your mechanic... If No to all, no need for top overhaul and your mechanic was wrong I'm afraid.. those are the only basis where full or partial overhaul is performed .. IMHO
If his analysis was correct, His workmanship is poor. Sorry...
I would concur with the consensus of our fellow "Hi-Lander's" that the oil cooler is the culprit. It's the base where you mount the oil filter and also where oil and water run through a channel closely. any leak from either will produce the symptom your experiencing... oil and water mixing in the radiator..
