Isuzu Elf from 6 to 4 tires

Is it possible and safe to convert a Isuzu Elf truck from 6 to 4 wheels? Sabi kasi nung driver namin pwede daw. He said you just need to change the rear axel and differential. Any idea how much?

Yan dati ginagawa namin pero daming huli. One time na impound pa. Sobrang hassel so binalik ko to 6 wheels. Yun nga lang truck ban naman.

Hirap kasi sa province laging may LTO, TMG, PNP baka pati LTFRB. Kung pwedeng convert huli din kaya? Pano kaya ang registration?

no need to change the rear axle.. ganyan ang trak namin, its originally 6W pero it was 4W na when we got it. Simply slap in the rear wheel in the same manner the outer wheel is mounted. Dont mount like the way the inner wheel is... pabayaan mo lang na exposed yung drum. Tyempo tyempo yan sa huli.. lalo na kung masyado malapad yung bed. Sa NLEX mahigpit sila. once na pansin litaw na litaw yung rear drum mo, ticket na agad. Lagyan nyona din ng malalapad na mudguargs para di pansin yung gap between the rear wheel and the axle.

filipinos are so inventive talaga when it comes to getting away or bypasing the rules and regulations.. double tire trucks were designed for the reason that they are allowed to carry more weight and still travel safely..ive seen so many 6wheel elf or canter trucks that have tipped over because they have been converted to 4 wheels and still carry the same weight that the 6wheels are suppose to handle.. maybe buying the truck for the purpose that it was meant to be should be the first thought and not how to convert the truck..

di na yata uso yan. traffic enforcer look at the sign sa side ng truck(na nakalagay din sa regn). kung truck ang GVW mo(6W) yun na talaga. kya dapat bago mo binile truck mo look at the regn if 2nd hand na. truck ko is 6W pero di sya covered ng truck ban(coding lang).

you have a valid point there.. But in our case although we know about the lesser capacity of having this set up, we opted to use this because we do not load much heavy stuffs on our truck.. most of its cargo's are bulky stuffs. Now having only one truck, we would have very limited access to it if it remained governed by a truck ban.
